I play Halo Reach too. Just started a few days ago. Played a lot of Halo 3,(Since Launch) which right now I still prefer to Halo Reach. I'd give Brink more of a chance...it is very fun. I write game articles for an online publication. Your review did not have much in the way of positive thoughts. I've played Brink online with other people and the guys I play with love it. So it has something to offer. It is not like Halo Reach, so I'd say stick to Halo if you aren't looking for a team-based game. The only real place you will find team-based strategy in Halo Reach is in MLG tournaments. You can't be a lone wolf in Brink like you can in Halo. So I'd say stick to that. You should reserve judgement on Brink until after you really put some time into it is what I was initially trying to convey when I said that you didn't play it enough.
Saying I never played it and saying I didn't play it enough are two very different things.
My review is based almost all facts unless it's obvious where I put my opinion in. Yes, the respawns can be long. Yes, all colors on customization are pre-set. Yes, the AI only rushes and doesn't help much. It's not the fact that it's a team based game that bothers me, it's the fact that it's a broken team game. From what I experienced it devolved into nothing more than grouping up with as many people as possible and rushing. And btw, whenever I play Halo nowadays it's with a team of friends, and team-based strategy is the only way we know how to play. I'm not quite able to comprehend what all this "lone-wolf" stuff even means. When you say a "Lone wolf game" do you mean one that takes individual skill to be good at? Because Halo does require a ton more than Brink does. That doesn't mean we can't work as a team, though.
