After 10 12 hours of game play

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 4:55 am

So far I've played 10 1/2 hours. Bethesda you did a GREAT job. Outstanding, I LOVE IT!!!!

I've got X Box One with the digital download version.

The only issues I've come across are the following:

Inconsistent load times. Sometimes it is very quick, other times it takes about 30-45 seconds

Very little stuttering with video

At times, a little stuttering and loss of audio, but only for a second or two

Outside of those issues, I've not come across anything else. There is no doubt, the 5 year wait was worth it. I can't wait to get further in and I can only imagine how good the DLC is going to be.

Oh yeah, LOVE THE build your own settlement feature. That was an awesome idea and you did good with that as well. Love all the options and freedom to build what we want, how we want.

Good job..................

Yeah, frame drops aren't that bad. Maybe a drop of 5 or so but it rights itself after a few seconds.

13 hours on PS4 yesterday for me and I found next to nothing wrong. Inconsistent load times like OP mentioned and some bugginess with Dogmeat (which didn't really bother me because I like to go it alone).

Playing on the Xbox One here too - after 4-1/2 hours last night the only glitch I experienced was an instance when the dialog subtitles got "stuck" and stopped updating during the first major conversation with Preston Garvey after the big battle about helping them get to their destination. His line of dialogue never changed on screen though audio was fine. Going into settings and turning off subtitles then reenabling them fixed it. No frame rate drops that I've noticed so far and no visual glitches to speak of yet. Aftet all the ragging yesterday online, I expected worse and I expected less impressive visuals. I mean, it's no Witcher 3, but it has its own design aesthetic and charm. I think it's looking excellent.

I've had the same lack of problems on the steam version. Ran most of yesterday with no problems.

Played 24 hours straight through.....game is definitely worthy of a 9.5 rating. Xbox one player here. At 12.01 i was able to play the instant i clicked the game, downloaded from xbox store. I dont use dialogue box so that wasnt a problem for me. Only thing i've come across is once, i characters lipsync reminded me of a few outdated singers. For a Bethesa game i was expecting a few issues and so far i haven't recieved any worth mentioning at all, Awesome game!!!

Edited my terrible spelling ?

No issues really, other than subtitles not always updating. The game runs smooth on the PC with no hiccups. Skyrim used to freeze abit when loading new grids, and now this is finally gone.

Xbox One. 14 hours since 12:01am digital start. Zero major issues. Minor issues: NPC sat on a chair that didn't exist at a bar (i.e. squatting in thin air). Another NPC said follow me and walked through the same door three times before I could get through (i.e. walked through the door then reappeared on my side and walked through again).

Generally happy with the game play, although tougher than I expected based on previous games.

My only problem so far was that I got near the door to my house before it auto-opened and the door stayed shut permanently. I couldn't get out. I had to load an early save and make sure I stayed away from the door.

Had my framerate drop to the single digits once today after about 20 hours of play. Had two vertibirds above me having patching issues figure that is what caused it.

Same here PC (Steam) running perfectly for me with only a couple of small ankle biter issues. The one thing I really like is the stutter that we got so used to with FO3 and NV is finally gone. I'm running consistently between 50-60 FPS and depth of field is excellent.

All that said, the game is amazing. I'm in Lexington, and for the first time felt overwhelmed. I love this game.

I was trying to think of my personal score for this game and I think you hit it with 9.5. A solid A effort. By comparison, I thought FO3 was an A- (90) and New Vegas only slightly better (90-92); Skyrim also at a 95. FO4 is a better game in almost every respect than its predecessors. I, for one, cannot believe how dense the world is.

Straight up, this is the smoothest Beth game for me yet. There are some minor issues with the dialogue loading and the textures but it really has been mostly fine for me so far. I'm loving the exploration, customization, and variety.
