Hello all, dagothagahnim here (or Menarra as some know me in more recent years) checking in!
I've been out of the modding scene for a good few years now, real life and all that. (Man, children really eat up your time.lol) Anywho, I'm back, more experienced, and going through all of my old plugins again, many of which were lost with the fall of Planet Elder Scrolls, but I still have the original files saved away so I'm going through them, cleaning them up, and in some cases completely revamping them from scratch. I've got three new plugins in the works right now, starting with a Redoran stronghold overhaul in the spirit of Building Up Uvirith's Grave in terms of scale and project size.
I'm also looking to debug Sobitur some, as there are still some that occur and I've lost all of my old bug reports. I just finished a brand new playthrough with a new install of Morrowind and fresh downloads of plugins, Sobitur included, and I'm running into a few bugs in Sobitur that I'm going to address soonish, and I'm looking for anyone that knows of any bugs in the mod that could be addressed at the same time. Once that's taken care of, I'm going to go through the entirety of the plugin to add some aesthetics and tweak a couple things, then recompile it and do the first new version release in years!
So, here's what's on the agenda and announcements currently::
-Bal Isra Rising; an overhaul of the Redoran player stronghold in the spirit of plugins like Building Up Uvirith's Grave and the like, because I never felt like Indarys ever got the love it deserved. This will include expanded stronghold walls, new buildings and services (some from resources like Tamriel Rebuilt), new NPC's, new armors and equipment (some from resources like Tamriel Rebuilt), general quests, faction quests, and a few hidden surprises, turning Bal Isra into a proper trade town. There's a longer list, but I'd rather leave the full details to the Nexus page once I finish it!~ This is about 50% finished as of this posting.
-Odai Plateau Ascendant; an overhaul of the Hlaalu player stronghold in the same spirit as Bal Isra Rising, and for the same reasons. It will include similar features as Bal Isra rising, but is only in planning stages at the moment so I have little to share.
-Sobitur Facility version 6.0; debug, cleanup, and renovation of the Sobitur Facility plugin to address the handful of bugs I found in my most recent playthrough, one of them quite annoying (constantly being teleported to Sobitol when you try to enter the Sobitur: Formation Grounds).
-Before anyone asks, no I will NOT be doing an overhaul of Uvirith's Grave. If you want an Uvirith overhaul, I suggest either Building Up Uvirith's Grave, or Building Up Uvirith's Legacy which combines BuuG with Uvirith's Legacy.
-Cry of Nature plugin has been abandoned for the moment. For any of you who may have followed my progress and updates on Planet Elder Scrolls, I had begun working on the followup project after Sobitur was finished, titled Cry of Nature. It was going to be a standalone plugin that continued what began beneath Sobitur as the barriers between our world and the elemental planes shatter, and could be played on it's own but was recommended you beat Sobitur first, and was going to be even more difficult. I still want to resume this project, but I'm going to get my other projects done first so I can get fully in the swing of modding and scripting again, I've forgotten a great deal about scripting these past few years, but I'm picking it up again as I look through my old plugins, especially Sobitur. I will let you all know if I ever begin to work on this one again, I'm trying to find my WIP files for it, I seem to have misplaced my old external hard drive that had that entire project on it. Has to be around here somewhere, fingers crossed.
If you have any Sobitur Facility bugs to report, PLEASE either post them here or PM me, and give me as much information as you can about what Cell it happens in, what you're doing, any error message you recieve, etc, and I will do my best to address that bug in the 6.0 release!
Thanks everyone and I hope to see more of you all again!
