So, after some tinkering with the system, what will peoples

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 7:55 pm

I think at first I would have to try the doubles of everything. See how powerful I can make something by itself. But for me it would be a toss up between sword and shield, classic, mainly because swords are awesome, but I would need defense, and it seems more important in Skyrim than ever before to have defense. And the other would be defense spell and dagger. Because I like sneaky stuff and the warding spell would be handy in a tight spot and I need to escape.

What are other people's opinions? Any favourites? Or are we just gonna wing it and whatnot?

Magic/Magic at first. Bow with a second character. Anything else after that, and I'll definetly try dual wielding.

I would probably just use a sword and a fire or healing spell, or if I decide to make a more stealthy character I would duel wield daggers. Or I could just be old fashioned and use a sword and shield :)

I Cant wait to use the Sword/Staff combo.
But i also think Sword/Axe combo would be pretty awesome to tough.

I think it'd be the good old (short)sword & shield for me too. But I always end up with multiple characters, so I'll likely play lots of different combinations across characters.

I especially like the idea of an element-themed spellcaster (frost, or maybe fire), with a destructive spell in each hand.

Defenitely sword and dagger....maybe two daggers.

Two axes or an axe and a sword sounds cool....but kinda weird. Im trying to picture how it will look and it just seems silly.

Soo many choices... Maybe Sword and dagger for me. But something melee, never liked to use magic. :toughninja:

Well, a axe and shield for my Nord. Weapon and shield is the perfect balance between offense and defense, it's the way to go.

I was thinking Magic/Shield for my first character for a mage with blocking abilities.

same here but I'm also thinking about using spell + sword because those finishing moves looked sick in the trailer! Unless we also get some crazy magric finishers

For me it would depend on what I feel like wielding. First I would like to dual-wield (short)swords. Then maybe dual-wield (long)swords which is completely awesome. Then dual-wield spells like 2 very powerful fire spells then combine them. :mohawk:

At first my usual fav combo of weapon and shield or two-handed. Then bow & arrow. :flamethrower:

I was going to be a battle mage because I've really gotten into those lately, but when I saw how there doing the combat system now I just have to play a warrior. I'm tore between dual wielding and shield and shield. I'll just have to see.

Left-handed sword and shield. I'm not a total leftie myself (ambidextrous, woohoo!) but I like the thought of playing one. If we're able to, of course.

Otherwise, it depends on what character I'm playing at the time. Magic/magic, dual blades, axes, axe/mace, etc.

Fair enough. I was wondering when somebody would bring up the old bows. Of course you'll be hunting for arrows as much as prey apparently. They are gonna be harder to find, and ypu'll be firing a lot slower than before. Good shout though ^^

1st: Bound Dagger & Invisibility (To avoid tedious fights, and to open unavoidably fights with a good crit)
2nd: Summon Golden Saint & Summon Dark Seducer (ideally what I would use for mob fights)
3rd: Ward & Fire Staff (Magic Duel set up [when low on magic])
4th: Healing Staff & Katana (1v1 fights)
