After the final battle, where would you settle down?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:50 pm

After the final battle at Hoover dam? Name e faction you would go with and where you would stay and would you would do under that factions rule.

Faction: Mr. house

After the final battle I would return to the strip and stay up in the presidential suite of the lucky 38 and try to convince mr house to re open the 38 for business
To bring in more tourist and revenue to the strip and 38. I would also go and retrieve yes man and have him in my suite for useful info on anything and everything.
I would have Boone and Rex live with me and occasionally but rarely leave the strip. If and when I do leave the strip I will Donate money to the boomers at Nellis to start producing airplanes for bombings and maybe commercial flights. I'd spend my nights in the cocktail lounge drinking and socializing and just improving Vegas.

What about you?

I think that whatever faction you back, the Lucky 38 is the best place to live.

The Courier can't settle down! It's like...his thing!

He has to walk off into the sunset, like in the cowboy films.

Got only indie/House characters, so Vegas it is.

Lucky 38 for the win!

I would settle down in Freeside under House's rule.

I would slowly improve it to basically be a mini-Strip for those who cannot afford the Strip itself.

Then I would move on to Westside and North Vegas, living in both of those locations and slowly improve them.

After all is said and done with that I would live in both the Lucky 38 and Novac.

Fields of never-to-be-loaded save games. :homestar:

Seriously, I wouldn't settle in Mojave. I'd head towards San Francisco.

I think that Lucky 38 is the obvious choice for the wanderer.

If I myself were to settle down I might pick Goodsprings or Westside.
Joe would no doubt pick the Vault 21 Hotel, since that reminds him of home.

I'd move to Primm and use the half a million caps I got from the Sierra Madre to renovate the Bison Steve and re-open it. With the only operational roller-coaster in what was the US, I'd clean up from the NCR tourists. And if anyone from the factions rolls into town and causes trouble, I'd help Meyers kill them.

Faction: Caesar's Legion

I'd settle in Goodsprings because of the bond my Courier has with the people of Goodsprings. Being the person who took down the NCR at Hoover Dam basically alone with a few companions, I think Caesar will listen to me when I ask Caesar to spare the people of Goodsprings and just make them citizens like he did to Primm.

For socializing, I always have Trudy and Sunny, who probably won't leave even when the Legion is controlling Goodsprings, being the stubborn ones. Chet will probably leave but he's a [censored] anyways and Easy Pete will never leave.

Only complaint: The bar really needs to be open at night and have somebody else run it while Trudy sleeps.

I don't know, traveling back to Zion and working with Joshua Graham sounds like my sort of thing. Plus Zion seems like it'd be a pretty nice place to settle down, hunting Yao Guai and green geckos to keep my skills sharp.

Haha I thought the sign says it open 24 hours and no one runs it at night? False advertising

Traveling the Mojave, working to establish the coalition government of the Vegas Free States under House's protection. Free of the NCR's control, and free of the Legion's presence.

After Hoover Dam, my old courier retired in the Lucky 38 and lived the rest of his days in New Vegas.

I was actually messing around and setting the Lucky 38 for business in my last character. Set up the safes and the cash registers with a decent amount of money (and Sierra Madre chips).

Also setting up the Gun Lockers each with a weapon and Riot Gear of some sort, to arm my own force if necessary.

My original game was the one where I was playing as me, which I played as independent, so I'd basically elected myself the king of the wasteland.

I like the idea of the Sink. I can teleport back and forth more or less at will, which means I can get home very quickly no matter which corner of the wasteland I'm currently, er, exercising my dominion over. I can disable the personalities when I fancy privacy or I can turn them on if I'm a tad lonely, I've got all the amenities I could possibly need, it's a defensible position, and Yes Man can take care of my home from home on the New Vegas Strip.

I could not settle.
I would be out gathering guns and armor from the Divide to equip the army of the U.M.F.
After tearing down the Strip for supplies and putting the Steel mill back into production, We would create a new power in the wastes.
A power for the People!
One vision! One purpose!

But the Courier woul be living it up somewhere in the Strip, wouldn't be the Lucky38 unless Caesar gives him it.

Continue killing everyone, but first do whatever quests they have and buy all good items from their shops. Where does Lieutenant Carrie Boyd keep This Machine anyway? It just appears from nowhere.

His thing leads him everywhere? I knew he shouldn't have taken both Lady Killer and Confirmed Bachelor.

Anyhoo, yeah. The Courier wouldn't settle in one place. Probably walk off a cliff in Zion one day, maybe.

Vanessa, my current neutral-aligned NCR supporter, would either "settle down" in a house in Goodsprings. As much as an adventurer can settle down, anyway. If she couldn't talk Cass into stay with her, she'd start a caravan company and spend the days roving the wastes so she could.

Lyra, my old and weary NCR soldier (and my first FNV playthrough) would take Waking Cloud up on her offer to return to Zion to stay. Lyra's been at war for most of her life; from raiders at age 15 to the Brotherhood in her 20's and 30's, to the Legion in her 40's. She's tired of fighting and death, and wants nothing else than to hang up her guns and armor so she can finally live in peace with the memories of the family she started and lost.

Daveney, my newly-started Independent, would choose to live in the Lucky 38 with Veronica, BoS be dammed. Not because she actively wants to live there, but because she'll be a national leader then, and needs to be a center of power.

Thomas, another Independent, wouldn't settle down anywhere. The thundering bloodsong and rush of victory in battle are still too appealing to him, so he'd be taking a small band of fighters and step into the Mojave as a wandering warband to defend the people he fought for. Often stopping in a settlements for news, supplies, whiskey and to keep up his campaign as the heroic Womanizer of the Mojave.

Daveney, my current Courier, has that "problem". A high-charisma, hard drinking, fire-breathing brunette valkyrie with Black Widow and Cherchez La Femme? This will be Trouble.

I normally play pro NCR. Im not sure why. I just like the NCR, but my character tends to be indi, in the sense that he or she (currently she) does whatever feels like the right wasteland reapondse. So i feel like i wouldnt settle down. But i would roam the waste. Maybe staying in the mojave. But I wouldnt mimd seeing what became of san francisco. I feel like that would be a good place in the waste/ncr (if it is ncr). And assuming it isnt a radiation hotspot from the war.

I wouldnt mind donning the black ranger armor. And working officialy with the ncr.
