After Years of Waiting

Post » Fri Mar 28, 2014 7:03 pm

I remember playing Morrowind with my best friend for days. We'd stay up all night exploring Vvardenfell on a joint character. I remember wishing dearly for a multiplayer ES experience ever since.
After years of waiting, it's finally here. I can't believe it. Maybe if you dream for something long enough, you get it. I'm going to tell myself that is the case and continue wishing for Felicia Day to marry me.

Wouldn't life be perfect then?

your awesome!

this is exactly what happened to me back in 2001 and i came to the bethesda forums and requested that they would make elderscrolls mmo but i was laughed and hounded at till i left the forums. i was shocked and amazed to hear that it actually did happen and ive devoted my whole life to go to this wonderfull mmo and will be there till the day i die or untill eso is no more (which ever comes first) :)

i am still in shock and amazement that this is actually happening!

Emb: My hair was blue when I took the picture for my avatar but the lighting was bad =P and I would dye my toon's hair blue or green if I could.

Hlaren: I'll be playing a Bosmer, but I have the Imperial edition so I may possibly join a different faction...
...But I am looking forward to exploring Valenwood and Elsweyr =3
Yet Morrowind and Black Marsh... =O
It's so hard to choose!
I might ditch AD just because they seem to be the most popular. I like playing for an underdog fac.

DanMan: But what about my 3-way marriage with Felicia Day and Natalie Portman?

I feel ya OP. Sometimes thing do work out well. Instead of the usual crap-fest they usually settle into.

Yeah it was Morrowind which got me hooked.

I bought an xbox just for Oblivion hoping it was going to be an MMO, lost a bit of interest in Skyrim though. Nearly there my pretties.

I was one of these fans that thought that ESO was going to fail when I first heard that there would be a TES MMO. I got mad and decided that I would never play ESO.

At the same time, I always wanted a MMO like ESO: action based, clean UI, with meaningful quests, interesting crafting system and a huge world to explore. When I found out that ESO would be just like that, I fell in love.

And here I am now, waiting for early access like a child waits for Christmas and trying to contain the hype (and failing miserably).

Ahaha Abeille! I'm not bothering trying to contain my hype! This game looks beautiful. I can't wait to lose hours just exploring the landscape. Oh my goodness.

My sister and I spent many-a-Saturday in high school in front of the Xbox, playing Morrowind together. Then, we did the same on my computer when Oblivion came out when we were in college. And then Skyrim on my PS3, even though we had grown-up jobs and lived miles apart from one another.

Now, finally, we can actually play legitimately together. In the same world we both love, side-by-side.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is... OP, I know exactly what you mean.

BSparrow, that's awesome! ZOS and Bethesda have really inspired a lot of wonderful times in a lot of people. I'm so glad I get to be a part of this!

My nephew and I used to play Oblivion. I let him crawl the dungeons and I did the towns and cities. It was a lot of fun. I have been solo on Skyrim and and Morrowind :(. I am going to be solo on ESO too until I can't go any further without someone. I'm not a people person. LOL

I can't find it now, But I distantly remember there being a 'news post' on UESP as an April Fools joke where bethesda made an MMO. The idea was laughable. It's even better in hindsight.
