Agility's Hidden stat

Reload and draw speed.

Doing some player.modav settings earlier, because when I used agility as a stat dump, I thought I was reloading and drawing out weapons much slower.

AGI 1 Laser Rifle
Draw speed: <1.00 seconds
Reload Speed: ~4.00 seconds

AGI 10 Laser Rifle
Draw speed: >0.30 seconds
Reload Speed: ~1.30 seconds

Definitely something people should look at if they play more aggressively.

You do have to think of Agility as Speed. High Agility characters also run faster too.

I wonder if you coupled this with the Quick Draw perk how much faster that would be.

Well, it also shows that the QD perk is worth far less to a high agility character than to a low agility character. If you have high agility, you probably don't need QD.

There's 2,7s reload time difference between AGI 1 and 10. So 0,27s per a point. So a difference between 6 and 9 is half a second. Conclusion: AGI is pointless above 5-6.

Except you are ignoring that AG affects more than just reload time :)

I just like how balanced the SPECIAL system is. The only "pointless" trait I see is Perception. Agility still deals with action points, speed and some nice skills.

Perception isn't useless at all. If you have no perception you can't use VATS from more than a few yards. You can't see hostiles on your compass from a safe distance. You miss out on several dialogue options. Your science skill, your picklock skill, they're absolutely horrible.

I also saw that Perception affects accuracy as well. Is that only in VATS, or outside as well?

It's not hidden. It tells you this in a loading tip.

Perception affects accuracy, too, but only with Energy Weapons.

Don't forget that Agility affects how fast your Vats meter regenerates.

Getting some of mixed info here.

Could anyone confirm or debunk if:

Perception effects: accuracy w/ energy weapons AND vats range?

Agility effects : running speed?

This is where the consoles lose out on finding information, someone needs to pop into the G.E.C.K and give hard-data like SakuyaFM has done. Can someone do a breakdown of all the S.P.E.C.I.A.L please, I would but I have the PS3 so I can't get this information in data-form.

I would much appreciate it as a source.

This needs further testing, and possibly I need more coffee.

I have used player.setav to set guns and energy to 100, and changed attributes from 1 to 10.

Perception 1 or 10 produced no visible change in Sniper Rifle weapon sway or shot grouping.
Perception 1 produced visibly greater sway and shot grouping for a Laser Rifle than perception 10.

However, I then went on to test Agility and found no difference in 1 or 10 for run speed or reloading. Im sure this is wrong, but stopwatch confirms it and it's reproducably not doing anything for me...

In the GECK there is a variable fAgilityReloadModifier, set at 0.1.

Maybe because the effect of Agility is dwarfed by weapon skill for reloading?

Personally I would rather take full Intelligence, then work on either Perception and/or Agility by leveling them up by 1 each level.
