ahh :( Modding noobie getting CTD when starting Fallout

hi all, i finally decided to move away from my ps3 version of fallout and purchase the collectors edition for fallout 3. I have downloaded a good bit of mods (activated via fallout mod manager) and whenever I startup Fallout it immediately crashes to desktop and tells me that fallout 3 has stopped working... here is my list.

even when i turn fook off it ctd's.. i tried auto arrange and that didnt help..

My guess is to uncheck xCALIBRammo_FWE.esp cause that leads me to believe that you need the XCAlibr mod in order to use it.

An insta-crash on start up typically means that you have a missing master that some mod requires. Make sure that you have everything that's required for all of your mods. And no, FOOK and FWE aren't fully compatible, you'll run into problems trying to use both at once.

OK, so I rearranged my mods after reading the FOIP recommended order(disabled fook2 and added eve&WMK) now the game will start up, but i cant use my mouse and keyboard to get passed the scrolling credit screen when you start fallout 3, and when i ctrl-alt-delete it tells me that FO3 has stopped working..ughhh so complicated :(

I don't think most of us start out with 100,000 mods like that. You start using some, and then start using others, and as you add mods you become aware of some of the problems you might have created when you did that.

just a thought. You could certainly keep going as you are, and maybe there is some fatal flaw in your mod load that someone will recognize, and fixing that one thing will clean it up for you. Couldn't tell ya for sure.

thanks a ton everyone for the help! it really is appreciated.
i came to the conclusion that eve .97 is uncompatible so i downgraded to 96 and everything is working :) thanks all!! if i have anymore issues i will post!
