I have to unfortunately inform the developers that there are cheaters which successfully employ Aimbot.

Have you ever seen a player spin and headshot all his nearby opponents?
Have you ever seen a player spin and try that without ammo?

I am sorry, but this game will die even faster than somebody in other thread have claimed, if you won't be able to stop this plague.

Good thing im on ps3. If they are going to get an aimbot for ps3, it will be longer then on 360 or pc.

Why must these nolives make hacks for a game? AND FOR BRINK? There are no stats!
I swear, games soon need to have 0 stats, 0 xp and 0 unlocks. And if someone hacks. There ps3/360/pc should explode in there face.

Call of Duty's the only game what brought persistant stats, XP, and unlocks together into the FPS. Counter Strike never had any of that crap, but people hacked anyway.

Regardless, Counter Strike's VAC banned them all.



As a side note, Why must I always turn to Counter Strike as an example in this forum? It's like people just forgot it existed, and it's seemingly the stuff of FPS dreams.


Third EDIT: How did you detect the aimbotter? VAC doesn't show its detections for weeks. Was it a stupid OH MY GAH HE CANT BE THIS GOOD HE ARE HAKER assumption?

I do have to throw out there, someone posted a YouTube video of some guys who blatantly admitted they were promoting an aimbot they made for the PC version of Brink.

Last time I tried looking the video had been taken down, and I'm guessing VAC has been notified.

The footage shown was of a private multiplayer match mostly played against bots, so it's possible they were on a server with VAC disabled, and that particular hack can't circumvent the system, but it's also possible that VAC hadn't at the time been able to detect the hack, or had picked it up and just not done anything about it yet.

Also, there's the whole "bots can do that" thing - unless you know 100% it was a human player?

Could just be sheer luck, too.

Also yesterday I saw a Medium bot with an EZ-Nade and a Chinzor. :mellow: [censored] bots don't play fair at all.

I've run into quite a few of them myself the last 3 days.

Good news is they are fairly easy to catch using spectate.

And thanks to vac you only need to catch them once, just make sure you have your fraps rdy.
