No M'aiq the liar!

It's an extremely ambiguous reply, so I'm not going to truly speculate...

He neither confirmed or denied, he did it in typical avoid-the-question fashion. By answering a question with a question. He's also an easter egg (as stated by Umrahel). If M'aiq isn't in, something else will be in his place. Also, any news on the Adoring Fan??

Please! I didn't believe he would be in the game until I saw this! That is clearly a mislead!

maybe there will be a quest where Maiq is frozen in ice and you have to thaw him to save him and that is how he survives 200 years LOL

Well, that's dumb. Not really, at all. Khajiit aren't immortal, no matter how awesome they are.

I still expect a similar NPC, though.

M'aiq transcends normal living beings, and is not in any way affected by age. Just seeing as he is not exactly a canon character, as much as a way of trolling fans / explaining why certain features weren't implemented in the game.

If you guys really need a legit reason why an easter egg could survive the 200 time gap then I think the answer is obvious.
Shortly after Oblivion M'aiq became a vampire and just before your execution in Skyrim M'aiq did the vampire cure quest and went running through the mountains to give the cooler climate a try.

M'aiq hacked Pete's twitter account. And of course he's not going to tell the truth. :D

 :goodjob:
He was in Morrowind and Oblivion, how many years did oblivion take place after morrowind? Miaq cannot be replaced

Like 20 years I think.

Silly mortals, M'aiq cannot die, for he is the 18th Deadric Prince of False Lies and Fishy Sticks. He will surely be in Skyrim and we will visit his realm, which is the only source of fishy sticks in all of Nirn.

Is there some reason we should be surprised or even care? Am I missing something? I see topics about M'aiq the Liar being in Skyrim all the time... why would he be in Skyrim?

How dare you talk such Blasphemy about the 18th Deadric Prince of False Lies and Fishy Sticks! You shall suffer in Oblivion with no Fishy Sticks for Eternity!

....Anyway, he's been in since MO and people like him and his comment about stuff we complain about(Dragons, werewolves, etc.) Plus, he gave us Fishy Sticks!

I think a large part of the forum just died a little bit inside.

M'aiq is more essential than both Dagoth Ur, Mehrunes Dagon and Alduin toghether. He is the very essence of... everything. It will be a serious disappointment if he is not in Skyrim.

I gotta say, up until now I didn't really know much about M'aiq, but I read up on him on UESP, and now I've been enlightened. He should totally be in Skyrim!
