M'aiq The Liar

Mike will be there. He has to be.

Mike has seen the dragons and Mike has tricked age. Seems pretty clear to me.

I like him. He allows us to laugh a bit at ourselves and I'm of the belief we should never take ourselves too seriously.

I'm just waiting for M'aig to come post in the thread :P

I like him, I hope they bring him back, or at least someone like him that makes fun of the things that did't make it. ;)

I'm hoping for his return.

Maybe might reference people from the forums. Like a mod or someone. That would be cool.

M'aig is awesome. I find his insight to be hilarious and I can't wait to hear what he has to say in Skyrim.

M'aid doesn't ACTUALLY lie though does he? And M'aiq is Legend he is our answer for all the bad thing in the game, cutting him out would mean replacing him with someone annoying. :sadvaultboy:

I voted no. I like M'aiq, but M'aiq is likely deceased considering the span of time that has passed between Morrowind/Oblivion and Skyrim. This just leaves the Ghost of M'aiq, which is cheesy and beneath all that is the coolness of M'aiq or a book by M'aiq with quotations which could be OK in my opinion.

...maybe the book can give a +1 to Speechcraft, Athletics, Agility and Unarmored.

I voted no, quit holding on to the past people. Let this game have new characters and places to love.

Yes, and if M'aiq comes back, we won't have those things...

He lied in Morrowind.

You don't know that. Maybe he actually really hates Colovian fur helms.

M'aiq's first line will be commenting on how everyone thought Skyrim would be dirt and snow.

He will return wearing a Colovian Fur Helm.

Why do people assume a long time will pass between Oblivion and Skyrim? It could easily take place right after Oblivion, long before the start of The Infernal City.

Hell the trailer even implies that it's soon after. "They" were only waiting for the time when Oblivion opened. "Hey Fred, Oblivion just opened. We gonna do this?" "Nah man, let's wait a couple more centuries." Even if "they" are dragons, that seems like a long time to wait after the event, to put your plan into action.

Bringing back one character isnt going to make the game old and stale, I don't see how bringing back M'aiq would be a bad thing.

Morrowind's M'aiq was funny. Oblivion's M'aiq just insulted the people discussing popular features on the forums that didn't make it in, or features that were dropped. I don't need to see that again. :P

M'iaq has to be in. He's tradition and a great tradition. Leave him in I say. Have him make jokes about forumites and forum trends.

I'd even suggest a hidden quest line involving helping M'iaq to recover The Liar Scrolls, an alternative history of Tamriel told with 4th wall breaking properties!

Lol yea if the would make a secret quest. No journal quest or anything.

That would be cool :)

Most likely because of Infernal City, specifically so they can retcon and ignore the hell out of it, which frankly is probably for the better.

M'aiq will be in Skyrim, and he won't have aged a day. This is because M'aiq can run so fast he defies the laws of time and space. His body is in a constant state of loading screens; where time has no meaning. ;)
