Yes but only if he retains his speed and athletics from Oblivion.

I think he should be in the game and be more apart of the game. He should be insulting WoW about now.

Yea m'aiq, Should reveal you to some Khajjit cult or he should be a Deadra Prince, I always thought he was one. He just doesn't look like a regular Khajjit. I'm sure he is a deadra prince.

I think you have him confused with http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/user/26239-miltiades/ a Dremora Prince.

if its 200 years it still doesn't matter, immortality ins far fetched in a a game involving magic

" maiq knows that people want him in the cold land, so he has come to skyrim , wasn't very nice of those people, i froze my tail"

" maiq wants beards, so he gave himself one"

"maiq wants children, perhaps you can help him?"

I suppose it'd be cool if he came back as a wise, old Khajiit living his final years in Skyrim.
That being said, I'm not sure of how far away Skyrim is from Oblivion in terms of years. Anyone know?

You mean cyrodill im not sure what kind of sorry idiot would want to live inside of oblivion
skyrim is directly north of cyrodill ands seams to be slightly smaller

I will be looking for him or his still dysfunctional decedent in Skyrim, if I don't find him I will be pissed :flame: . If he is absent in this installment then I will write a 1,412 angry letters to Bethesda. If they don't put him in they should at least have his fully designed and properly voiced and special views in a secret folder on the construction set for modders to chance upon.

At the very least a grave, if they decide to move on (and remove him *sobs*) we should have a grave stone to mourn our loss...

No, I'm sure he said what he meant. There's no TES game called "Cyrodiil". And "north" doesn't mean anything when talking about time. Also: isn't Skyrim NE of Cyrodiil, not directly North of it?

If M'aiq is dead they can make a ghost of him =)

Anyway I think he should be in Skyrim. I can already imagine him fishing in some cold lake way way far out in the wild.

Yeah, ice fishing in a hut with a real "fishy stick". :P :D Oh and with Colovian Fur Helmet of course. ;)

Hope so. He is an easter egg after all so what does it matter if the game is 200 years later

I doubt his name will be the same but some crazy Khajiit should be running around the game somewhere with a similar name.

I'm gonna have to agree with tonyabdo on this one. He was right correcting that person and saying Cyrodiil instead of Oblivion. Sure, Oblivion is the name of the game, but the region is Cyrodiil, so saying "oblivion," it's somewhat referring to the realm. Also, Skyrim is north of Cyrodiil and Tony said it was directly north, giving a sense that it's close by since Tamrel is one big piece of land excluding some islands.

No, he isn't: in the context of Cheese's post he is referring to Oblivion the Game in terms of the specific period of time that the game focuses on, though I suppose his decision to use a geographically-rooted reference of measurement with the statement "far away" instead of the more appropriate and temporally-rooted "long since" might confuse certain people - then again, the fact that he immedietly followed this with "in years" should've made that quite edvident.

EDIT: Then again I suppose that given that time is a linear dimension no different from length, width and depth that trying to treat it in spatial terminology isn't that inappropriate.

I was wondering that as well

about 200 years if what most people say is correct

guess we'll see

yes i hope he is or atleast they have his grave somewhere

If Skyrim is hundreds of years later then his grave or faded old tombstone would be a great easter egg.

All M'aig did in OB was talk down to us.

You want werewolves? Too bad. You want levitation? It's for fools.

It was like the developers telling us eff you. I didn't like it at all. Plus I wanted to kill him but oh noes he's immortal. =(

I agree some of what he said was kinda off putting. I liked levitation and staves etc. However his digs were mostly funny, and I thinkg good humored in intent.

Re:The timespan between between Oblivion and Skyrim.

The only thing I can find that comments on the timespan is http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-11-23-rumour-elder-scrolls-5-in-the-works, which was published a few weeks prior to TES V being announced.

The same source confirmed, with official game documents in hand, that this will be the chronological sequel to what happened in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is the latest game in the now 16-years-old Elder Scrolls saga and by itself one of the better RPGs for PC and consoles.

Of course, that 'chronological sequel' means it takes place at some point after Oblivion, without specifying how much time has passed after Oblivion. To me, though, it seems to be implying that it takes place pretty soon after Oblivion. Can anyone else provide links in regards to time span?

Also, I Like M'Aiq, please bring him back :D

I thought the game was direct sequel? 200 years doesn't seem direct.

"Direct" as in no other game took place between Oblivion and Skyrim. "Chronological" because obviously it takes place after Oblivion. Neither one of these definitions tells us how much time elapsed in between. Though the trailer implies a short timespan.
