M'aiq the liar won't leave my house! Help

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 6:24 pm

M'aiq the liar has entered my house and now he will not leave. Many days have passed, I have fast traveled and slept and he is still here. The worst part is I can't even kill him, he is an un-killable character. WTF! Anyone else had a similar problem? Any known fixes?

How did he get in there in the first place?

Edit: Oh wait, I bet he was looking for calipers.

Rejoice and accept the wonderful M'aiq as a part of your household. Remember to feed him sugar regularly.

Not really, my house is getting too crowded between a steward, follower, wife, kids, dog, etc I can't even walk through doorways becasue everything gets blocked up in a big traffic. He's an uninvited guest, trespassers should die!

I don't know how he got in there, but he was hanging around outside for a while when I first built the house. I hate his creepy 3rd person speech and he makes threats towards me when I bump in to him in my own house, die, DIE I say!!

Well you can't kill him, so... :ermm: . Just bump him out of the way (run into him and push him into a corner or something). Have you try casting rout, of fear shout him? This way he should just eventually find the door and exit the house.

But they say never kick a gift cat in the balls... It will give you permanent bad karma. *SIGH* I would love to have M'aiq The Freakin' Liar as my house cat, you lucky bastard!

Hmm good idea, I'll try casting rout or fear on him.

I never really seen it as a good thing (i'll try to embrace the idea more), I just don't like the fact that anyone can just enter my house at any time (never happened with proudspire manor or breeze home). I had a stormcloak carrier enter once as well, but he quickly left on his own.

Lmao I found an imperial courier standing in my bedroom, and when I try to talk to him he just cheese it to the front door. I assume the poor guy needed a well-deserved R&R, so I did him no harm. But it would lead to a completely different outcome if I had a wife

Why would you kill prolly the most famous character of The Elder Scrolls series and is one of the biggest symbols of TES series?

I say you are lucky to have him there! I mean, seriously, there are prolly millions of players who wants this to happen to them... Heck, they prolly want to marry him!

Can you make one of the Dark Brotherhood Initiates as your steward?

Any known fixes?

I have two. M'aiq, once spawned, will remain in that area until he's respawned elsewhere. So, if you want him out, you'll need to respawn him in another part of Skyrim. Find a random encounter spot where M'aiq is known to appear (e.g. the path leading from Whiterun to Riverwood alongside the river and behind Honningbrew Meadery), and keep revisiting that spot until M'aiq turns up.

If you just want him out of your house but don't mind him on your property, try inching him towards a door by getting in his face and making him back up. Once both you and he are near a door, engage in conversation with him, and quickly exit through the doorway as he's talking to you. He should follow you out.

Try bumping into him lots of times to move him nearer the door, then go through the door when he is near to the door and to you as you exit - NPCs tend to warp through load-doors with you if they are in your near proximity when you go through the door, which I suspect is how he ended up in your home in the first place. Once he's out, don't go back in yourself until he has resumed his normal schedule and walked away - otherwise he will just warp back into your home when you go through the door.

M'iaq is too poor to afford a home, so M'iaq will stay here. Maybe you wish to adopt M'iaq?

This is just too funny.

Ah, the sneaky cat.
He got in when there was not doors.

Lol that's brilliant, does he wander around the house or does he stay in the same spot? If he stays in the same spot and is out of the way, I would leave him be, just think of it like this, now you have a pet kitten. =)

If you are on PC can't you use he console to spawn him elsewhere? Move him away from your home? If your on Xbox though, try fear spells or Fus Roh Dah on him to push him to your door and the talk to him and then exit the house, he'll follow you out and voila.

I hope he gets stuck in mine. I LOVE his wisdom haha.

But really. just bump him towards the door so when you exit, he will with you.

I've entered my breezehome and taken guards and that child Mila into the house with me. Though they usually leave as soon as I move away from the door...
