Akavir in the Fourth Era

Post » Sun Nov 27, 2011 9:17 pm

Any information about Akavir during the Fourth Era? Like anything happened over there? Or did the tsaesci etc. just kinda sit on their bums for 200 years while Tamriel was in the perfect state of weakness for another invasion...

I'm 105 hours deep in the game, and they only thing Akavir I've heard was blades related. I don't think we've any new information. Would be happy to be proved wrong though.

I'm guessing that Tosh Raka and kin haven't been as successful against wiping out the tsaesci as they hoped. Either that or the Kamal or Tang Mo have been giving them a hard time.

Still wondering what the Nerevarine is doing over there, if he is still there.

Same here. Hell, we haven't heard a lot about whats going on in Akavir other than a certain hero making a voyage there. Other than that...nada.

I'd be surprised if Tosh Raka and the Tsaesci existed in any recognizable form by now. Sure, they're immortal, but hundreds of years have passed since we last heard from Akavir. Tosh's new ideas could have been all about baking, and the continent could be united under a muffin-based government. The Tang Mo could have united with the Kamal under the Pact of Frozen Flung Poo, and conquered everyone else. Basically, whatever you imagine is possible.

It's important to note that Mysterious Akavir might not even be a historical text (notice the parallels to Dawn myths).

Perhaps the Men of Akavir have reemerged from hiding, and are both angry and numerous.

According to one of the ingame books that I read, when the Akaviri aren't attacking Tamriel they're back at their homeland fighting each other.

That book didn't happen to be Mysterious Akavir did it ? Because we've had that book on http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Mysterious_Akavir http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Mysterious_Akavir http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Mysterious_Akavir. So its neither new, nor information about the fourth era, on top of what Lady N said.

I don't remember what book it was, and yes I know that Mysterious Akavir has appeared three separate times. I never claimed the info was new or about the fourth era, but assuming it is historical, why couldn't it be relevant to the fourth era?

I did that before I posted. I fail to see your point. Assuming Mysterious Akavir is a historical text (I'm not saying that it is or isn't), why would they behave any differently in the fourth era? You are arguing for the sake of arguing.

I'm arguing because the OP was asking for, and this is the key word here, *new* information.

And as there isn't any new information, my post described what they could be doing at the time of Skyrim.

Your right, I apologise, give me a while, I'll put together some conjecture and be back.

Edit: What you said wasn't even conjecture or a hypothesis, it was old information.

Me too but sadly it's been 200 years. If Bathesda ever ventures a game there i'd hope to hear of his/her fate.

Yeah unfortunatelly you are never going to learn. The only way that question could ever be answered is by making a direct sequel to Morrowind where you can continue playing as the Nerevarine. Otherwise, Bethesda tries to avoid cannon endings for your character where they are still in anyway shape or form relevant.

I assume the Nerevarine is dead, and his/her soul has been claimed by Azura in her plane of existance.
