The problem is this. I can't seem to get the script to activate in which the Akulakhan gets destroyed.
I strike the heart once with Sunder and then five times with Keening so that Dagoth Ur's shield will disappear, then I defeat him and walk across the bridge. And then... Nothing happens.
Has anyone had this bug before? This is really bothering me for some reason. I want to see that thing burn. :brokencomputer:

Okay, nevermind guys. Installing Bloodmoon fixed this problem for me, cheers.

Update to the official patch and the unofficial patch. This problem signifies one of the biggest errors that could happen with your game. I totally dont remember what its called but the patches fix it. But it also disrupts certain summoning spells (i.e. the summon fabricant spell) and a lot of scripted activators in tribunal ( the rocks for the satchel packs). Just make sure to keep your game updated with the most recent patches and it should be fine.

Interesting....i've had this same problem in the past and just used the console to force things along. I'm pretty sure I had the official patch as well as the expansions installed....perhaps it's the unofficial that fixes this particular error.
