If Akulakhan had been completed....

Free-thinking is a bad thing? You aren't supposed to be happy all the time. You have to be sad and angry sometimes so you won't be content with doing absolutely nothing to solve your problems.

I think he just might have been being sarcastic...

Well,my idea of Dagoth gobernment,is like a communion-mind.All the souls of the beings of tamriel, together,in peace and armony.Dagoth Ur is not bad, simply he is very ugly.

As always no disrespect, but this is by far one of the funniest things I've ever seen. But perhaps that is just because of how I read it.

http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/dagoth_plan.shtml The Ash Vampires (and I'd assume Ur as well) would become the Priests of Akulakhan. The Sixth House would become the dominant political force in Morrowind as well.

Meh, a little disease there, some corpus there, I think his rule would not have been so bad.

Perhaps; after all, he did seek to eventually make everyone divine. But it would have been only after years of killing, blight, and suffering. And we don't know how stable his plan would ultimately be, as he was somewhat mad.

Ayam was very insane, but Mournhold was pretty nice. Just give Dagoth Ur some time to sort things out. He has been dealing with a lot of crap, but I'm sure it would have been much better than the Tribunal's rule along with the empire. I mean, yeah there is going to be a portion of the population who will find it will svck, but that's because they're all deluded with the daedra and the aedra. Bleh

Ayem had only been insane for a relatively short while. Dagoth Ur had presumably been nuts much longer.

Insanity is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure that to some, Ur is the most sane of all the characters we've met in the TES universe. With maybe the exception of Sheogorath.

The best argument for Dagoth Ur's insanity is that he was a divine being, tripping on Lorkhan's Heartsblood in Nirn's chest cavity, with the greatest mystics in history as his neighbors and enemies, holding all the cards to remake the universe, and all he wanted out of it was a robot and a strain of the measles. In the end, dull earthly power of the sort the mortal named Voryn would have sought.

I dunno. A tall stompy robot and a strain of measles doesn't sound all that bad. Add a flower on your lapel that squirts water into peoples faces and you really have got something there.

Ok, I think that with the corprus, dagoth Ur is by far more intelligent than the common people.

He thinks, that the flesh is not important,he only thinks in the soul of the people, the total communion, the freedom soul destroying the body...because it is only a recipient of the soul."Destroying" the body(corpse :D) he will liberate them souls, and brig spiritual peace to Tamriel.

Yeah,my vision of the Sixth house is more spiritual than politic, well,it's a theocracy.

The theocracy in our world, were the kings "named kings by the gods".A government by the Church(priests) will be more a Eclesearchy than a Theocracy.

But In morrowind,Dagoth Ur is a GOD,and,he wanted to break the barriars God-human sharing the divine power.

But the people thinks that the corprus is a terrible disease, like leprosy.
St. August philosoph, said, that a day,a roman was walking alone at the beach, then he encountered a kid, filling a bucket with water of the sea.

-What are you doing, kid? - said the roman
-I'm gonna fill all the water of the sea in my bucket
The roman laughed-But this is imposible!

The menaning of this,is that is imposible fill all the water of the sea in a bucket,it's impossible try to fill God in the mind of a Human, because our intelligence is very limited to understand God.
So,when we can undestrand God,we'll be God.

Because this, the people can understand the divine freedom power of the corprus, that destroys the materia, and frees the mind!

In the real life,it's impossible rule a true theocracy,but with a "living-god" it's possible.

We cannot try to understand the spiritual things of the life with logical human thinking, because we don't arrive to any thing.

Sorr for my crappy english :S and for the long post :snoring:
