[RELz] Alakazar's Lamp

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 9:08 am

OK, it was not the missing IFL (no worries there), but rather, it was the fault of two missing (and very small) textures :( .
Here is the DL for those textures (like I said, if this is all the trouble that comes from an initial release, then I am doing well ;) ) :

Sorry for the inconvenience :)

Fabulous, thanks Westly!

Oh, and by the way, I love you.... http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk192/ArkyMorrowind/Character%20Screenshots/Veil04-Lampwear1Pose.jpg

I almost don't want to take the outfit off... but seeing as I spent about 40k in the lamp (so far), I am going to have to eventually!

Just lovely, Arky :) ! Feel free to show more (and that goes to any who DL and enjoy this mod)

I should also mention that the Slayer's armours and the Dawnsong Armours "hair hoods" no longer exist, as I swapped them out for a more universally friendly Masked hood (which looks jut great :) ). Here is a look at the mask on male and female characters:

Yup, goodies galore - I decided this set was too neat to pass up, so I went and trained my llight armor as well just to effectively wear it! http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk192/ArkyMorrowind/Character%20Screenshots/Veil05-SoulHunter.jpg

Excellent work Wesley!
Lara Croft, eat your heart out.[/url]

Well, yes, but be honest, once past adolescence Ms Croft has no charms.
I once described her as a teenage boy with implants.

This is an unbelievable gift, both in quantity and quality. I think I'll install a bunch of companion mods just to see more of these awesome items in-game.
Thank you, Westly!

Woohoo! :D

These look fantastic. I've always missed Arabian themed stuff from Morrowind, so this is most welcome. :)

This is going to be a loooong shopping night.

@Westly,

Some corrections to the readme are needed:
-missing reference to Alakazar's Lamp Textures_4.7z (Installing The Plugin section / in two places).
-incorrect reference to Exotic Imports by Westly.esp (Playing The Plugin section / first line).

The OP has texture archives listed correctly, but still refers to Exotic Imports. <_<

OT: Since I mentioning it, might as well give a link for http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=879035. :P

Great stuff Westly - the new Tamriel rebuilt, open source engine wip, this and many more show that the best of morrowind modding is far from over!
On a wierd tangent, the decorative butterflies. Ever thought of doing a retexture of the bitter coast dragonflies to have butterflies flying around in lovely scenic clumps?

Spectacular! Thank you so very much for the work you obviously put into this, everything looks absolutely stunning. I have to say, you have released the first "house" (even though that's not the point of the mod) that I couldn't find even a single thing to improve. :goodjob:

But of course (Fliggs a great friend, so why wouldn't I have thought of him when making Alakazar :) ).

Thanks, Tetchy; those foibles are now fixed :)

I could/might adapt the butterflies to the game by itself (so perhaps I will release a butterfly catching mod in the future :) )

I can think of a few thing, Lyssia, but I'll never tell :) .
The intent of the "house" portion was to showcase a few other items and features. If anything, the house can be used as a "house within a house" since it is portable (to be placed within your place of more permanent residence of choice for a further getaway) :).

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it ...

More to come soon :ninja:

Having a blast trying out things... :D

A small glitch, I fear: When putting on the Elven Glass Greaves, MW tells me (warnings.txt):
TES3Stream Warning: Model "Meshes\!WAR\WAR_Glass_SKRT2.nif" tex not found "war_glass_skrt2.tga"!
That texture doesn't exist in the Textures folder and neither in archive 2, where *_skrt1.tga resides. :)

I had it set up like in Buyable Ghorak Manor (and the way it is set up in other mods),
but no matter what I kept getting an "object not found in cell" error, when I could
go on that cell and view the very same object that was said to be missing (one of the
alchemy jars, apparently). Because of this, I could not get it to work (the sorting script),
therefore I moved on with the other features of the mod and a release (vowing to come back to the
alchemy sorter at a later date :) ).

Righto!
Thanks for the heads up; the missing skirt texture is can now be found in the missing textures
download in the first post (sorry for the worry or inconvenience) :) .

Take Care, All (and hopefully this brings me closer to a "final" release to be posted at PES :) )
