Chapter 4- Castle Bruma
Two days before the Battle of Bruma
Garrus and Ilend walked through the main hall of Castle Bruma, the stone work was wonderful. The tapestries were hung from the ceiling; the countess’s guards were everywhere. The two soldiers headed over to the barracks, they were stopped by a burly nord in guard uniform.
“Halt, what’s your business here, are you here to see Burd?” asked the Nord.
“No, where here to see our friend Alavesa, we believe she’s in the barracks” said Ilend.
The nord grumbled.
“She’s in the dining room area back over near the countess’s throne” said the Nord.
Garrus nodded and with Ilend headed over to the dining room. There were many nobles of different races in the dining room. Garrus looked around and saw Alavesa in the corner of the room talking with a Breton noble. Garrus and Ilend walked over to Alavesa, a lot of the nobles in the room stopped talking and stared at the newcomers. Garrus ignored them and continued over to Alavesa. Alavesa noticed him and a large loving smile crossed her face.
“Garrus, I’m glad to see you” said Alavesa clasping herself around Garrus. She noticed the other man next to him.
“Ilend is that you?” asked Alavesa. The soldier nodded. Before Ilend could say anything Alavesa gave him a big hug.
“Oh, it’s good to see you Ilend”
“Same here Alavesa” gasped Ilend.
“Oops sorry Ilend, I got carried away” said Alavesa.
Ilend just smiled and then started to laugh. He put his hand into his pocket and pulled out an amulet.
“I believe this is yours” said Ilend handing the amulet over to Alavesa.
Alavesa looked at the amulet in awe.
“I thought I had lost this” said Alavesa hugging Ilend.
