Chapter 1- The Battle of Bruma
“Soldiers of Cyrodiil! The Empire will stand or fall by what we do here today! Will we let the Daedra do to Bruma what they did to Kvacth? Will we let them burn our homes? Will we let them kill our families? No! We make our stand here, today, for the whole of Cyrodiil! We must hold fast until the Hero of Kvacth can destroy their Great Gate, we must kill whatever comes out of that Gate! Soldiers of Cyrodiil, do you stand with me?”

These very words burned into Alavesa Oril’s mind as Martin Septim, the heir of Uriel Septim, spoke to the soldiers arrayed in front of him.
The soldiers drew out their swords and answered “YES”. As they answered there was a rumbling sound as an Oblivion Gate opened up and a wave of Daedra came charging out.
Alavesa glanced to her right and saw the hero of Kvacth, he was a large nord arrayed in Blades armor, as the Daedra charged towards the soldiers she saw him pulled out an elegant blade made of an unknown substance.

“For Martin,” she heard the Nord roar.

She herself mustered her courage and held up her spear in preparation for the oncoming monsters. The first wave was mainly compressed of Scamps but the odd Churl or two was in their ranks to keep order and to maintain a steady charge. Although this wave greatly outnumbered the soldiers, it didn’t take long for it to break up and lose momentum.
Soon enough the other two gates were opened and a large group of dremora came charging out of the gate, at the head of them was a Kynmarcher, he wielded a huge hammer. The Kynmarcher was unstoppable on the battlefield all who stood in his way were killed. Alavesa herself was tangled up as a huge Daedroth charged into the ranks of the soldiers. The monster bashed its way through, until it faced Alavesa, it let out a huge roar that drowned out all other sound. Alavesa lunged out with her spear, it sliced into the daedroth’s shoulder but before she could pull it back out the monster swatted her aside like a cat playing with a mouse. The Daedroth roared in pain as it pulled out the spear, the spear was covered in red blood; the Daedroth then in anger threw the spear away. The spear became a projectile as it sliced into a man, going threw his stomach and out the other side, the man was unfortunately still alive and screaming in terrible pain as he bleed out onto the snow.

Alavesa landed on her back, her vision was blurred and she couldn’t hear anything, but when the sound came back the first thing she heard was a blood curdling roar, she managed to look up. To her disgust she could see that the Daedroth was coming towards her. The monster’s right arm was hanging where the spear had cut through the muscles, but the creature hadn’t given up. Its crocodilian like head swayed side to side looking for the dunmer who had inflicted its wound, when it saw the dunmer on the ground injured it let out a roar and moved towards its target. A scamp managed to get into the Daedroth’s way, the monster simply trampled over it crushing bones. The Daedroth stopped, it looked down at Alavesa it held up its left hand readying itself to kill the elf. Alavesa knew it was the end, she was too weak to even defend herself, and she looked up to meet the monster’s gaze. It got ready to kill her, she awaited her death but as the monster went to grab her it suddenly roared in pain, Alavesa looked up and what see saw took her breath away.
As the Daedroth went to grab the elf something leapt onto its back and with sword in hand stabbed down into the Daedroth’s back. It frantically tried to pull off the attacker but it was no use.
Alavesa couldn’t believe it, the man that had just jumped on the Daedroth was her superior and friend. He pushed his long sword into the Daedroth until it poked out the other side. He pulled it out and slashed down the monster’s back. The Daedroth fell to its knees and let out one last roar before its head was cut off. The headless beast fell down and stirred no longer.

“Garrus?” was the only word Alavesa could make; her voice was small and tired.

“It’s me Al” answered Garrus Darellium. Alavesa’s lover knelled down and embraced her, “It’s going to fine, I’m here for you”.

All around Alavesa went silent as she looked into her lover’s eyes and slowly she felt herself weakening as she crept into silent oblivion.

Chapter 2- Cloud Ruler Temple Part 1
Light poured into Alavesa’s eyes as she opened them. She could hear sparrows chirping and she could smell the freshness of the breeze that blew into the room she was in. As her eyes fully opened she could see that Garrus was on a chair sleeping, he was facing her, and she could see that he was tired. He also seemed older than he was, but that didn’t faze her she still loved him.
His eyes fluttered open and relief was the only thing he felt. He looked at Alavesa who was also happy to see him well and safe. He got out of his chair and sat on the bed near Alavesa; he leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. Her black hair was a mess but he didn’t mind it reminded him of the day they first met.

“Garrus how long have I been here?” asked Alavesa with a worried look on her face.

“You’ve been asleep for two days” answered Garrus. Two days that’s impossible thought Alavesa.

She looked around the room, the walls were made out of stone and the ceiling was wood, there were a few cupboards and there was a basin with water in it.

“I bet you’re hungry” said Garrus. Alavesa nodded in reply, she could see that she wasn’t in her armour but dressed in simple robes.

She heard the door to her bed room open, she looked up to see that Garrus was back he was holding a plate with some food in one hand and a glass of water in the other. He wasn’t alone however, behind him was a man dressed in blades armour that came in as well.
Garrus gave the plate and glass to Alavesa who gulped down the food in a hurry, after she had drunk some of the water the man in blades armour spoke.

“It’s good to see that you’re well, but where are my manners, I’m Grandmaster Jauffre”

“It’s good to meet you Grandmaster” said Alavesa.

“Please call me Jauffre”. Jauffre turned around and called someone over, Alavesa could see it was a servant, he came into the room. His was holding armour and weapons and Alavesa realized these were hers.

Okay I have decided to post the next part of chapter 2 today. Hope you enjoy.

Chapter 2-Cloud Ruler Temple Part 2
“Well how does this look?” said Alavesa spinning around so Garrus could see her armour.

“It looks fabulous, although I preferred the robes” said Garrus.

Alavesa laughed and embraced Garrus kissing him on the cheek. She then left her room and headed to Jauffre’s office. Alavesa came to the door and knocked on it twice.

“You may come in” said Jauffre.

Alavesa entered the room and saw Jauffre sitting at an oak desk; Alavesa was amazed at how much books he kept.

“You wanted to see me?” asked Alavesa.

“Yes, it’s about the upcoming battle”

“Battle? I fought we had already won”

“No, the Battle for Bruma was a diversion, the enemy planned on taking Bruma out so its army couldn’t help out at the upcoming battle that will be held at the Imperial City” said Jauffre with a mournful look on his face.

“So what was the purpose for the battle?”

“We let the enemy open three gates so their great gate would open which would allow the hero of Kvacth to enter it and obtain its great sigil stone”

Jauffre got up and walked over to Alavesa and handed her a note.

“This needs to be given to High Chancellor Ocato at the Imperial Palace. Do you understand?”

Alavesa nodded and left the room.

Chapter 3- Bruma
Two days before the Battle of Bruma

Garrus was amazed of the view; he was walking along the walls of Bruma. He could see White gold tower, but he could also see his beloved Cheydinhal. Garrus took in a breath of fresh mountain air; he turned back around to look upon Bruma. Its citizens were up to their normal business as if there was no Oblivion crisis, meanwhile its soldiers were gathered up at the castle. But the soldiers of Bruma weren’t alone; soldiers from Cheydinhal, Kvacth, and Anvil as well as other places in Cyrodiil were present.

Garrus was standing amongst fellow Cheydinhal soldiers; they were in a large tent away from the others.

“So Ferris where is Al?” asked Garrus.

“Are you already getting lonely” said Ferris. “Alavesa’s in the castle I believe”

Garrus took one last gulp of his ale and left the tent heading towards the castle. On the way there he got stopped by a soldier from Kvacth.

“Garrus is that you?” said the soldier.

“Ilend Vonius, I fought you were dead”

“I would’ve been if it wasn’t for the hero of Kvacth”

The two soldiers laughed and hugged each other; the two of them although from different parts of Cyrodiil had known each other since they were children.

“So how is Alavesa?” asked Ilend.

“I’m going to see her now, why don’t you come and see her she will be happy to see you”

“Okay”

The two soldiers then headed to the castle.

Ilend Vonius is the first person you meet in the Kvacth Oblivion gate
