Hey there lore fourm, so I have a question that probably won't have a definite answer, but more like a "What do you think" kinda deal. Anyway, http://www.imperial-library.info/content/major-realms-iliac-bay we see the state of Alcaire, very visibly a coastal region, but the The Arcturian Heresy call's it an island. Would it be far off to think of it as perhaps an island-city with coastal territory, much like Tyre in Phonecia?

I'm pretty certain Alcaire the city is in Alcaire the kingdom's mainland territory in Daggerfall (the game).

Jorge Luis Borges advocated intentionally introducing errors into encyclopedic works. With that in mind, it is no surprise that Michael Kirkbride would have arbitrarily made Alcaire an island. Is Alcaire an island? There's no right answer because Alcaire does not exist; perhaps the right answer is a question: does it really matter?

Since you've been asking a lot about Tiber Septim's birth, I imagine you're writing a fanfic, so I'll say it this way: whatever you want Alcaire to be is what it is.
