Hello everyone,

I heard so much about the famous alchemy/restoration exploit that I really wanted to try it, but hit a very weird glitch...

So, I start like the forum here in some other threads explained it:
Equip Fortify alchemy gear, make fortify restoration potion, unquip gear, drink porion, re-equip gear etc.

(I have neglected alchemy so far, so I have only 39 but good gear with a total of +65%)

Whenever I reach a potion with fortify restoration +56% it changes properties and reverts back to +37%...!!???

I mean, to be clear, that same potion decreases in value while it is on my person. On the alchemy stand it shows as +56% but when I drink it, it only gives the 37% bonus. I thought of waiting until the previous potion runs out, but by that time the bugged potion went back to 37% in my items list.

Has anyone an idea what causes this, or how it can be fixed?

I've not heard of it, this sounds pretty scary. I'm glad I made some ridiculously overpowered crafting equipment before the whiners brought attention to any "needed patches."

What platform are you on?

I've never had any problem with this once I've leveled my alchemy up to high levels. I also take the equipment off after I drink the potion, not before.

It works fine, it's just a display issue, under the effects of the potion you see the potions as more powerful. I'm not sure if they actually are or if it's just a matter of what shows up.

Short answer, you're going about it wrong.

1. Acquire a massive amount of restoration reagents
2. Just keep trucking. Make potion, remove gear, drink potion, re-equip, make NEW potion. Repeat and you'll see it climb up exponentially fast in no time.

Don't bother with waiting for it to wear off. It'll be slower if you don't have +25% or better to your alchemy gear or if your alchemy is low (it'll level FAST when you make these super powerful potions).
