Alchemy Journal

Post » Sun Oct 09, 2011 2:39 am

A while ago I was thinking about some of the things that prevented me from using the potions and poison I made from alchemy. Apart from the other reasons, I realized part of the reason was that I never really knew what I was going to make. I came up with the idea of them having alchemy journals at the alchemy stations. The alchemy journal would be seperated into groups (potions, poisons, etc.), and it would have all of the recipes you have already made. While combining ingredients it would tell you what you were going to make beforehand as well. This way you can use the ingredients to make exactly what you want, and even if you aren't trying to make a certain potion or poison, you still know what you will make beforehand (if you already used those specific ingredients). I think a journal like this would be handy, especially with the new alchemy stations.

I think it would be sweet if you could find/buy books or scrolls with recipes or ingredient effects, along the regular revealing of effects(of ingredients) from leveling up/eating them.

Not exactly what I mean, and there is no way to remember unless you keep those recipes. A lot of those just repeat the same recipe, anyway.
