Alcohol of choice

Post » Tue Sep 23, 2014 7:34 pm

I like a good scotch to sip, some of my favorites being Aberlour, Balvenie, and Oban. I'm also a fan of Belgian ales and any kind of good stout.

Tequila or vodka, straight. From a shot glass or the bottle, doesn't matter

I'm not picky. More a beers and ales type, but I'll drink it if it tastes good. But I don't really go balls out and get hammered, just drink a little.

I like sweet tasting liquor like rum or mixed drinks at places that sell them.

Angry Orchard with Fireball whiskey in it. Good stuff right there. :tops:

I also enjoy vodka by itself, either straight or on the rocks. Same with tequila.

I don't drink to any excessive degree, I've never actually be full-blown drunk.

However, I do quite enjoy Whiskys and have a decent collection of them ranging from Jameson's Gold Label and Woodford's (my favorite) to rot-gut crap like Southern Comfort

I've also had a bucket list goal of owning a bottle from every major Whisky producing country and region. So far I've managed to get ahold of a Japanese Whisky, a scotch from two of the major regions, an Irish Whisky, a Canadian Whisky, a Colorado Rye, a variety of Bourbons and other, non-descript Eyes from around the US.

I'd like to get ahold of an Indian and Australian Whisky, but they're very hard to come by and are not cheap

Oh, and I like my Whisky neat, for some reason ice, no matter how little, dilutes the flavor too much to me.

Not much of a booze kind of guy seeing as I'm not legally old enough. I do, however, enjoy other activities. :hubbahubba:

Cider, especially Rekorderlig or Koppaberg. Sometimes JD, depending on my mood, and rarely Scotch.

Rum.

If there is no rum then I go for Founders Oatmeal Stout, which is made in a local brewery.

I love a good whiskey when I get home after a stressful day at work - currently drinking an Arran special - a nice cherry cask and a lovely nose of toffee. When out for the night then it's Jagermeister, Tequila, Cider (usually a Stowford Press) and Vodka.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis.

Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) is my beer of choice. I also enjoy Guinness beer, too. In America, it is a rare bar that serves Guinness.

For a "bar drink", depends on what I wish to accomplish. If I'm going to be there awhile, beer suits me best. Margaritas and Daiquiris can get overly expensive! Gin and Tonic is a good "lingering drink" choice for me, too. 5 quick shots of tequila and I am feeling no pain

At home, my favorite drink would be Bailey's and coffee. For some odd reason, I have never gotten into wines, though I have some friends that enjoy their wines. I will drink wine, but am by no means a connoisseur

I don't know what it is about Southerrn Comfort, as I know many people enjoy it. For some reason, it reminds me of an orange flavored medicine I took as a child and I end up gagging when I try to drink it :)
