Alcohol of choice

Post » Wed Sep 24, 2014 2:10 am

I'm clearly drinking otherwise I would be lurking. My question is what do you like to drink?

For me I usually start off with a few whiskey colas to get the ball rolling and then move on to some fancy brews. My favourite beer is this Trafalgar cream ale stuff that's only available near St Patricks Day. So so good. Also sometimes I just get something cheap like Old Milwaukee which I'm about to drink now.

None anymore. Quit drinking altogether almost 9 years ago now. When I did still drink my preferred drinks were MGD and Crown Royal.

Unfortunately, I had a real problem with alcohol...amongst other things, so I found it necessary to give it all up. I feel better, and I have more money than I did before, but I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I was still having that much fun. Still though, the benefits of what I've gained, far outweigh what I've lost.

Well that's good that you were able to quit if it was a problem.

I could never see myself having a problem with drinking even though I drink a decent amount. I don't know I guess different people have different minds. I just like not caring about things as much and being more social (sometimes annoyingly so...). I don't think I would ever develop a real addiction

Hardly drink, but when I do it's usually Everclear moonshine. Turn a liter into a nice two gallons of apple pie moonshine no problem.

And you never do think that until it's already a problem (it is possible you may never develop a problem). I didn't realize it until I walked into work one day and was handed a plastic cup and told to put something in it. OOOPS!!! Fortunately, my employer gave me a second chance to prove I was better than that. He has since retired, but I have yet to let the company down again.

I don't drink.

Well, I enjoy an occational non-alcoholic beer, which pretty much tastes the same as the normal stuff.

But I do not drink alcohol. I think hand sanitizer is neat, does that count? Not for drinking of course.

Mostly water, green tea or milk. I don't drink alcohol.

I felt the irresistible need to come into an alcohol thread and tell you this. Thankfully I'm overcoming my soapbox addiction. One step at a time.

Same here. I'm keen on porter and stout. If I'm in a mood for spirits (quite rare for me) I like Irish whiskey (with an "e"). I should drink less, though, I need to lose weight, and 170 calories a pint isn't helping.

I don't drink anymore, not since my accident, but when I did I favored either Aftershock(those crystals...mmm), or Vodka with Mountain Dew.

Straight vodka.

I don't really like alcohol, I just drink to have a good time and get drunk.
Although I struggle to get through more than 2 beers, the stuff tastes awful!

Mostly beer, budlight (or plain Budweiser). I'm a huge fan of clamatoes or cheldas or whatever they're called...but i drink beer for the price so i don't usually get those. I also drink cheap vodka because i can't taste the difference between the cheap and the good stuff anyways lol.

I drink fairly rarely for my setting (A college campus, so moderate quantities become practically teetotal), but when I do, I like Whiskey, preferably Laphroaig or a decent Rye, neat or on the rocks. Other than that, a good porter always hits the spot.

I drink a bunch of stuff.

Sam Adams is my favorite beer and Oktoberfest is pretty damn good (Had some yesterday).

Pumpkin Ale taste [censored] great, too.

If I'm in the mood, I might drink some Vodka.

I don't really drink anymore. I used to drink a lot, then realise I had lost an entire day, sometimes two or three, to hangover and that the time I did spend drunk I regretted due to doing stupid or horrid things. I don't enjoy being drunk. So drinks now tend to be off-the-cuff occasions. I had a meal, a 10 course tasting menu, not long ago with a wine flight, so 8 glasses of wine. That was more than enough for me. Otherwise, maybe a beer (lager preferably, but ale is fine) once a month or so, on occasions possibly a port or cider. Sometimes I will have spirits, but less often than I used too. I enjoy whiskey. Neat, no ice. Like it is meant to be taken. It tastes wonderful but, honestly, for taste might as well have a glass of Dr Pepper or a mug of hot chocolate! I'd prefer a cup of tea over a pint of lager any day. When I do drink later, it tends to be non-alcoholic (I'm a fan of Becks Blue - similar to the real stuff but with none of the after-effects). I just feel no need to drink alcohol anymore, really.

I only drink once in a blue moon, when I do it's usually rum and cola. There was a period going back about 4 years now where I spent every evening for nearly 4 months drunk but I was leading up to a life decision.

I'm not big on the flavor so if I'm looking to get a buzz I drink vodka or something at least 30% APV. Sometimes, if I have the materials, I'll make something fruity and girly like a daiquiri because they taste great.

Scotch or Whiskey, I drink maybe once a month, at the comfort of my home. I prefer to drink tea or soda the rest of the time.
