[WIP]Ald-Ruhn Temple Expansion Thread 3

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:39 am

I can hardly believe how long it has been since I started working on this project.

I have returned once more, and the successful completion of this project should finally be within my grasp. Due to the considerable amount of time that has passed between the various periods of time I have worked on this, I don't expect everyone to still remember what it is about, so I will explain it below for those of you not in the know.

The original purpose of this mod was to expand the Ald-Ruhn temple using the http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o133/Xeth-Ban/Morrowind/Art/Ald-RuhnTemle.jpg as my guide. Since that turned out a bit too dull-looking in-game, I decided to add in a large number of extra details myself to make it more interesting, and the result is this mod.

A number of screenshots of this mod in various stages of completion can be found in the album below.

Wow! This looks awesome. I love the amount of details and clutter and stylish mess.
Please, you have to finish this, preferably in this life-time if possible.

Good luck on this, Xeth, I can't way to get my hands on it. :D I would do the dialogue, but my other projects prevent me from doing so. I hope you can find somebody who can lend a hand, though.

Damnit! I just realized that the latest version I uploaded to Box.net before the virus problem on my previous computer, did not feature the interiors for the large building...This means that the Armiger barracks, the interior of the large building itself, and the underground temple tunnels is lost...However, I was never to happy with these anyways, so I don't mind re-doing them ;)

Edit:
Nevermind...Seems the esp just got corrupted after not managing to save properly, resulting in those cells being removed from the esp.
In other news, the whole thing crashed, causing me to loose all progress I did today...Which wasn't too much xD I will have start saving backups from now on...

Edit 2:
The mod is moving forward...At quite a slow pace, I have to be carefull not to cause the Construction Set to crash...

Turns out that running Morrowind through an external harddrive causes a lot of...Problems, regardless; the mod is progressing forward...Checked the recent changes in game, and it looks sweet ;) (gonna get you some screenshots quite soon)

Quests:
That depends...I want to implent quests, but I would require the aid of someone who could do the actuall dialogue and quest stuff involved. But if I can find someone to do that, then yes, there will be quests ;)

LGNPC Ald-Ruhn:
Oh I will do my best to ensure the comaptibility between this and LGNPC AR, as I'm a fan of that mod myself.

Thanks ^^

Personally, the screenshots dont tell me much about what the mod looks like. (well at least not the ones you have directly linked to in this thread, I dont know which pics are relevant in the photoalbum)

You would have to have followed this mod from the start to have a clear view on how the mod looks like - however, all the screenshots have some level of relevance, I just can't bring myself to capture images that have no beauty, and exist solely for the sake of information...I could send you the WIP if you wanted to take a look around though =)

Ok, I took a look and I liked it a lot. Nice attention to detail with the clutter and overall layout. Maybe a bit smaller than I expected but it really does fit in quite well with it's surroundings. Love the guar stables, good idea. Good job, I am sure this mod will become quite popular. Lets just hope you dont run into anymore computer problems.

From the barrack's screenshots, there seems to be several Armigers stationed there, and they only have one bucket for all of them? Geez...

The Temple isn't made out of money you know! It costs a lot of time, money and manpower to liberate buckets from Walruses =(

Oh, I figured I would include my "The Tale of the Devious Trader" book mod in this as well, just for increased awesomeness. :o
