Alduin - How do you think is the appearance of him?

Post » Wed Aug 18, 2010 4:28 pm

Users with the skills to design: What do you think to show your creativity by making a drawing of how can be the much feared "Eater of Worlds", aka Alduin?

I even tried, but a dragon drawn in sticks is not very good. :sadvaultboy:

You know, it'd be more awesome if Alduin actually looked like a cosmic horror from Lovecraft or something. But, he's a dargon.

Well he's suppose to be big enough to actually eat Nirn. I hope we actually get to fight him and theres not some stupid relic that stops him in his tracks. I want a real boss fight for this one, platforming elements and all (if possible).

Eh, most likely Shor will make an appearance to stop Alduin again, or we're trying to prevent him from awakening. Fighting a world sized dragon just doesn't seem possible...

If done well, I predict he will be the most epic boss of all the games that've played.
But its size is only metaphorically (at least I think so), we have seen the avatar of Akatosh in Oblivion, but, it was only the Avatar. :toughninja:

I do not believe that we can not fight him, at least a bit would be interesting.

Maybe we'll get to tag team with Akatosh and Talos for the final confrontation.

Why would Akatosh fight himself? :P

Imagine: You're fighting alduin in the throat of the world, he suddenly throws you into the floor with his tail. At this moment Alduin prepares to vaporize your poor body immobilized in the ground, and suddenly a bright light emanates from the sky and you see the eight gods coming out the skies to prevent Alduin defeat you.

It's certainly possible, all you need is a deus ex machina here and a convenient plot device there. No problem.

Akatosh is Alduin, and the nine is nothing more than a political move made in the first era. It'd be better to have Shor/Lorkhan/Shezarr subdue Alduin from eating his kalpa.

For Urge, I'd be verrrry disappointed if a deus ex machina was employed so that the PC would fight a dragon the size of Nirn. The combined efforts of Mehrunes Dagon (as the Leaper Devil King) and Shor only caused him to get too full to eat everything.

If the other Divines actually help the Nine-hating Skyrim, I will be pretty surprised.

He's also known as Lorkhan, right, if so then I'd actually be ok with his return as long as the god fight is better then Oblivion's, which wasn't bad imo but it could be made to look more epic and cinematic.

Here's a stretch: Maybe he doesn't exist at all? What you're doing up to that point is convince the world he doesn't exist. So he ceases to exist ;) Probably not, but it would make for a damned original story :D

Cosmic horror or bust. He's meant to eat the physical plane, Nirn, time and all.

Shor is what I keep hypothesizing, but how could Beth include him and appeal to mainstream fans without retcons or simplifications? There would be way too much to explain up to the final event for any casual player to understand. I still have faith in them though.

Edit: Unless the player character is an aspect that takes his avatar to fight the end battle, I don't see how it could happen. This way, it could be a nod to those who invest in the lore.

Hey, we're in the land of the nords! Shor is pretty much the main deity of the area, so learning about him should be almost second nature.

To begin, draw an S. For snake....or dragon..or something. Then, you draw a more different S.
