Thanks to the people that figured this out. It took me a while to actually understand the directions, hopefully the video will help others who had issues like I had.

To clarify for others, this is an Optimus problem- so this affects M11x R2 users (soft touch exterior). Not R1 users (glossy case).

And warning: there is some swearing in the video... not unjustified, but maybe nsfw as a result.

I would also recommend checking out this other forum.... one of the users there has an R2 and claims not to need to use this work-around. Still trying to figure that out:

This is my last bump today - share this video with anyone having the issue who needs it verbally explained.

It worked!

Went from 10-20 FPS on Medium 1280x720 to 45+ FPS on High 1366x768!
