Aliens, inclusion of and how?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 10:22 am

The blaster wasnt real as an actual weapon from aliens canon.

Just as the follower Skynet wasnt actually developed from alien technology or dogmeat that was found in broken dream café wasnt dogmeat (as in the same dog in canon even though he was the same dog as in fallout 1, found alongside "rejected lead characters for f1)

It was.just all in good fun. F2 did that alot

Seemed pretty real (as real as video game guns get anyways) when it was de-atomizing raider scum.

So does dogmeat when you find him in broken dream café and bring this almost 100 year old dog with you and he kills wasteland scum.

The best one is finding an old phone that is a time machine that sends you to vault 13 where you break the water chip by mistake.

That was funny.

You're confusing things, we have the phone box (Doctor Who) in Fallout 1 and in 2, the guy travels in time through a kind of stone portal.

But don't let us talk about random encounters which doesn't have to be real (you know desert, not enough water, radiation, hallucinations and so...). Let us talk about REAL ghosts instead (who asks you for help in FO2 in a sidequest) in this 100% realistic world  .

I knew that (heard it before) and i have never seen Star Trek (so i dont really get the reference). My only star trek knowledge comes from fallout

Isnt the shuttle crash also a star trek reference?

"Matthias Huxley (real name: Dr. Presper, co-creator of Zax). Prepser is the "bad guy" of the piece (not really, but good enough), a cryogenically frozen scientist who went into hibernation a few days before the nuclear holocaust, woke up in the Boulder Dome, and emerged into the world to discover (to his surprise) how much "civilization" survived, before he wakes up the rest of the scientists frozen beneath the Boulder Dome. Prepser, as Scientific Advisor to the pre-war president, is the only person left alive who knows all the passwords and control schemes for the Zax computer and various other super-weapons across the world." by Chris Avellone. Zax is a Vault Tec creation. Boulder Dome was built by the government and Vault Tec for research, as stated in my OP, and as to conduct research on space travel and planetary settlements. To me this the Enclave.

And what's the benchmark for canon? How come that stuff isn't canon but "just for fun", but Mothership Zeta is totally serious and canon?

Seems to me the Fallout universe just stopped taking itself so seriously after the first one, and Bethesda continued in that direction. Hell, Bethesda did slightly better in that Fallout 3 didn't have so many obvious pop culture references.

Hmm...more than likely related to Enclave in some way, but from the little I know of Van Buren, he didn't specifically have Enclave tech. So he's...sort of Enclave?

To show the difference let us have a look. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Return_Anna%27s_locket Makes no sense to split hairs here.

I am perfectly fine with a bit whakieness. Fallout needs it so it doesn't get fully depressing.

I only hate that FO3 is acccused a ton of things, that the old games did so much better, which they didn't actually.

Skynet, according to Chris Avellone, is NOT his real name and he is very much Fallout lore. Also known as AI project number 59234.

Project Safehouse was the work of the Enclave, a secret shadow organization of federal officials and corporate executives that used the Vault-Tec company to set up this sinister experiment. The Enclave considered themselves prime candidates for recolonizing the world after a nuclear holocaust and to this end commissioned the construction of their own shelters, isolated from the vault network. The results of the vault experiments were intended to help prepare the Enclave for either re-colonizing Earth or colonizing another planet if Earth turned out to be uninhabitable. Boulder Dome was part of their research in "colonizing another planet." It was an Enclave facility.

How do hallucinations throw real cans at me and open very real doors by itself?

Not to mention the whispering of specific words that some other crazy ghoul guy wrote down.
