Aliens in the Mojave

Well you are forgetting the clearly alien corpse that the Shi had before being stolen by the Hubologists; your probably going to say that it wasn't confirmed as an alien body but I would say that that's willful speculation. Besides, the WW trait does non-canonise the events.
Actually, not recalling that corpse... I would say that Fallout 2 got it wrong (and I did say that it all started in Fallout 2 ~like the chessmaster).

I would not have minded them in FO3/NV if they were already dead, and that was all there was to it.

The problem is one of assumption and of design. In Fallout you could never visit the alien crash twice; theoretically, you could never mention it or bring anyone else out there to see it. Anything in the wasteland ~ was just weird; until FO2... Then you get the scorpion chessmaster, the Brain and a live King Aurthur (which could be just loonies; IIRC the rabbit and hand grenade were not available without cheating).

The DLC was a mistake, the encounter was not.
Agreed.

And skydiving whales, lets not forget that.
I always liked that one.

Edit:
We all know the origin of the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpiwRN6OA2A right?

I've already agreed with Styles that it was something else - though he didn't remember it either - more than likely a Ghoul... seeing as how the Hubologists stole it, I don't know thinking more on the Jason Bright being a former Hubologist idea.

Did you play with the restoration pack? If not I will make time to play Fallout 2 one more time to check it out.

I can garuntee that it is not from the Restoration Pack, at the back of the Hubologists Base - in the room below the guy who hardens Power Armour - there is a fridge with the body in it.

And you say it weights 75? I guess that is why I don't recall it. It is way to heavy to take so I just leave it. Making note of it and will check it out during next play through. Still we agree it is not a "space man."

It's in light of the whole...50s Sci-Fi, fear of alien invasion theme.

I really, really hoped that Area 51 would be in this game.

Id love to see something similar like the Mothership Zeta DLC, i thoroughly enjoyed that add on and was upset when it finished,
maybe it was because i wanted the ship to be repaired and the Aliens to be my slaves like repairing my guns when they needed repairing,
and be my back up that beams them down when im caught up in a heavy fire fight in the wastelands (abit like the NCR radio support)
