It's all about the little things

Hi,

I have experienced a few oddities during my play-through, and since they probably are a result of multiple mod interactions rather just one, I decided to make a new thread. It could be that a few of these questions are because of my lack of knowledge about the game or the mods I'm using, if it is so then please excuse the ignorance yet if you can provide assistance, I would be grateful.

1)HUD

First quirk is with HUD status bars and DarnUi, when I first load the game, the HUD status bars completely ignores Darn's changes and HUD elements just overlap, eventhough the mod says that it will automatically detect DarnUi.

There must be another way than essentially loading the save twice to make HUD status bars recognize DarnUi.

2) Torches

Since I'm using OOO, I have DLT installed and I love it, however, there are a few things which I do not quite understand.

Only the one on the right is emitting any light, that is the DLT.

Additionally, when equipped, the DLT emits a lot more light compared to normal ones, I prefer the DLT light, because the normal one is too little especially with

Cava Obscura, so is there a way to make normal torches shine as bright and far as the DLT counterparts? Also the illumination staves added by OOO dim in comparison to the brightness of a DLT torch, so can they be beefed up too?

3) All natural - Real Lights

I liked the atmosphere this gave to dungeons, however, quite a lot of buildings became too dark, especially lower class tavern, where there are just candles, became so dark that I needed to use either a torch or a light spell, is that normal? For now I've disabled this module.

4) Prices, damage, items

Since I'm using FCOM, I assumed that all the items added by the mods will be somehow readjusted accordingly, in price, damage and so forth, and for the most case it is true, however, there are a few standout that I've encountered

How can an 'Iron bow' cost 11gp, while a 'Fine Iron bow' costs 100gp? http://postimg.org/image/3w5dxzb77/

Additionally isn't the 'Steel War Ax's' damage too low? Just 2 points.

And another quirk concerning spells. I've two ranged destruction spells of the same level (apprentice)

Their stats:

Flare 8pts for 1 sec, cost 21 (Fire damage)

Spark 12pts for 1 sec, cost 15 (Shock damage)

I do not find it logical that the weaker spell is the more expensive one. I use SM, however, I haven't tinkered with the ini too much, hence I thought that it should handle this sort of thing. Or is fire damage just more expensive in general?

Some thoughts:

  • Item Interchange isn't supposed to be used with the current FCOM version. Read the FCOM thread first post for directions on which parts of COBL to use.
  • Too dark - it sounds like you were using Real Lights alongside Cava Obscura... I think this is not a bug, just a result of those two mods together?
  • Weapon, spell, and item stats - this sounds like a bahed patch configuration issue. Can you post your bashed patch config?

I don't really have any idea for the HUD or the DLT issues. Sorry.
