All achievements done...

Post » Fri Aug 19, 2011 6:19 am

I've done everything needed to get 1250 points (xbox 360).

According to my stats I have 142 quests completed, 159 places found and I'm at level 26. My blade and heavy armour skills are maxed but the rest of my major skills are around 60.

I'd like to keep playing and try out the magic/alchemy side of the game.

Is there any point? Am I relying on respawing enemies from caves etc?

Should I just wander around discovering new areas or should I just restart?

Only you can answer those questions. We all play games for different reasons. If you're playing the game to get achievements (I don't even know what those are) then once you've gotten them I guess you're right, there would be no point in playing further.

If you play the game to explore the vast, interesting game world, there's plenty of point. If you roleplay, like many of us do, there is plenty of point. If you roleplay there is no end to the game, because there is no end to our imaginations.

Ask yourself, "Why am I playing this game?" Whatever that answer is, ask yourself if you're still having fun doing it. If the answer is yes, then keep doing it. If the answer is no, then stop doing it.

Those are good ideas.

A couple more personal achievements you could try:
- If there are more than 159 places, then you haven't found every dungeon. So indeed, explore until you've found everything.
- You could also try and max out all of your skills without cheating.

Have you finished everything to do with Shivering Isles? KotN? Found every dungeon in SI?

And as Pseron Wyrd said, if you don't find those things fun any more, then start over. If starting over turns out to be no fun for you. Then maybe some other game?

Thanks for the replies.

I guess what I mean is; considering I've done all of the main and faction quests, will I not be just churning through generic dungeons or is there some decent unique conent left?

We all know the downsides to the levelling aspect in Oblivion. I can't help but feel that i'm just going to see level matched loot and enemies from now on.

Well, what I'm hearing is that your main interests are combat and getting loot. If that's the case, there may not be much more in the game that will interest you.

But, as schmoe says, you can try Shivering Isles, if you haven't already.
