They didn't change it for the PC to have server browsers. They changed it so that the consoles did not. What I'm trying to say is that the game was first developed for PC and then ported to console so you're logic was kinda backwards.
There are some console games with server browsers, but most games will use the "host" setup where one console acts as the server. This is usually done because it's cheaper then having dedicated servers and there can sometimes be complications when trying to get a dedicated server to work through xboxlive and PSN. With PC the communication likely goes. Players PC -> Dedicated server -> Another Players PC. With the consoles it would be: Players Console -> XboxLive/PSN -> Dedicated server ->XboxLive/PSN -> Other players console. Those extra few degrees of seperation might not have a huge impact, but then again they could have a huge impact.
That being said my statements here should not be viewed as exactly how the system works. They are an educated guess based on my long experience with online gaming and my background as a computer engineer.
My logic wasnt backwards at all, all im saying is, we are minus the server browser, and you can look at ANY post in this forum ( cuz they are ALL about it ), We need a server browser. But you reply with "this this this, but maybe im wrong, and im just guessing"
BUT, it shouldnt matter, all i said was, i want to know WHYYY they did not do it. Your just saying "maybe this, maybe not" I dont need that. I want a statement saying "this was taken out BECAUSE" and provide me with an acceptable reason. PSN CAN have dedicated servers. Iv seen it. Iv played in them. Iv enjoyed them. BUT its not only dedicated servers im talking about. im talking about a SERVER BROWSER. Just SOME function to lay out the community, or to let us group with our friends with ease. When i have to put EFFORT into just getting my friends in the same room... its not even worth playing.
