All I needed was bots.
Well, time to finish Lost Planet 3 then sit in a corner until the Xbox One comes out.
I don't even understand why Crytek UK even stopped its tradition of including bots to each game, which has multiplayer. It's fun to play with bots, even if they are stupid.
To be honest, the console/PC version could just have not included a real singleplayer campaign and you wouldn't really miss anything. It was just bot matches with few cutscenes and small variations. Even the strategy game mode was more about limiting the number of classes you had. It was still awesome game though.
My favourite bots are probably from Killzone 1. Not because the bots were good but because they were so stupid they were the reason I even played the multiplayer. You could actually hide from them and when you shot at them, they sometimes just literally danced in circles. They were so weird. xD
I played with bots a lot in Killzone 3 but still prefer real players. The AI will never do the clever and tricky stuff that real players come up with. But it does get old when your constantly getting 70 to 100 kills per match even on the hardest setting it just doesn't compare to real peeps.

I don't play much off kz3. It has really numb controls that have been set up in a strange way. That ruins the whole game. They had the imagination, graphics, etc.. and then they went and screwed up with the controls.

Try to play Killzone 1. It's impossible to move the crosshair properly because it refuses to move just a little bit. Plus the controls felt really clumsy when you tried to do anything. It's quite sad when it's a lot easier to no-scope with a sniper rifle than to actually try to aim. <_<
I agree so much with this thread it ain't even funny.
I've sunk more hours into Quake 3, UT2k4, UT3, CS:S and CS:GO's bots modes with friends (co-op vs bots) than probably every other mode in every other shooter combined.
Survival would have been MUCH better than nothing, but if possible, nothing beats bots available across all game modes, no matter how primitive.
If a subsequent Crysis installment includes MP bots for solo play, I'll be sinking SO many hours into that you'll have to pry my arse from this chair with a spatula.

The best bot game I have played to date is Star Wars battle front II on PSP (I never got the joy of playing on a PS2). The game had no story, it was just online MP (which believe it or not is emptier than that of Crysis, though it is a fairly old game) and offline bots which were great fun. One of my saved data slots kind of glitched out and now I have permanent support bonuses that last from the beginning to the end of every match I play.
Battle front II is one of my top 5 all time favourites
Top 5:
Gran Turismo 5
Batman Arkham Asylum
Star Wars Battle Front II
Ratchet and Clank tools of destruction
Need for speed carbon

I played the first Battlefront game on PC back in 2004 or 05, at the time I loved it a lot. Played the second too.
I heard there is a Battlefront III coming out.
I've heard rumours too but I know nothing about it.
DICE, the developer of Battlefield franchise, will develope it. I will still miss Free Radical's Alpha version of the game though. It looked like an awesome mix of space and ground combat. Some gameplay footage from the Free Radical version.

I could swear I recognize several assets from HAZE in there. Forests/grass, palmtrees, some of the stone grounds and the canyons texture...

The gameplay video I linked was from Free Radical's version of the game. The game was cancelled few years ago so it doesn't look good right now. (Funnily it still looks way better than Haze, which isn't even much older).I've heard rumours too but I know nothing about it.

**Big explosion**
Han: "Don't worry, I do this kind of thing all the time" lol
It looks good though I have to admit that I expected it too look better after all of these years of development even if it is just an alpha.
Was haze even any good?
