ALL save files corrupted after update?!

I haven't seen any other posts where people have the same problem as me. I can't play at all unless I start a new game and I'm not doing that.

So I'm maybe 6-8 hours in with no problems at all. Yesterday I start the game and the update message pops up and I download it and play with no issues for an hour or so. Here's the problem, the next time I go to play I am unable to continue or load any of my 3 save files.

When I choose continue the game starts loading and then freezes, every time. When I choose to load any of my 3 saves it says, "This save game relies on downloadable content that is no longer available. Continue loading?" If I choose yes or no it sometimes starts to load and then freezes. It sometimes says, "The storage device you selected is no longer available. Load cancelled." When I click ok the game restarts.

The only DLC I have is the free Classic Pack and I have never deleted it or even removed my HD or changed my setup in any way since playing Fallout New Vegas so I know it's the update that's the problem.

I understand people are having all kinds of trouble with freezing and glitches, but I fear my problem is more serious and I might not be able to continue my current game. I've tried clearing my cache to get rid of the update, but you can't play without downloading it again so I don't see how that could help. I am open to ANY and ALL suggestions and if you offer one I will try it and report back to you exactly what happened.

There have been plenty of people getting the same bug as you. It's not the update, they haven't fixed it yet.I got the same bug, they said they're working on fixing it,so hopefully it will be soon because I can't even play my game right now.

So I guess it was just an extreme coincidence that I had no previous problems, but this happened to me directly after downloading the update? I guess I'll start a new character for now, just because I have the day off and was planning on playing all day. This really puts a damper on the weekend.

Exact same issue happened to me today. Walked into Ranger Outpost Charlie after the ranger guy at Novac told me to check on them. Walked in, died from explosions, froze on the load screen for auto save. All other saves corrupted with same error as above. I have finished come fly with me if that matters at all... thought I read it was related.

This is the only official statement about this that I have been able to find,

"On consoles, we are aware that a small group of 360 users are seeing a DLC warning which is preventing you from loading save games. We are absolutely looking into this bug now, along with other reports of save game corruption. It is our highest priority right now that we find out what is causing it. In the meantime, we recommend you save often, and revert to an older save if this occurs."

They say it's a small group, but I wouldn't be surprised if this affects ALL 360 players. Some just haven't run into it yet.

I'm glad they are working on it and had the courtesy to tell us that, but their recommendation to just save often and revert to older saves is bogus. They have a HUGE problem on their hands and i hope for their sake as well as ours they get it fixed before they are forced to recall the 360 version of the game or something drastic like that.
