All my stuff in end tables has dissapeared?

Ok my house is breezehome in whiterun and I usually dump all my stuff there. Armor & weapons I don't use, jewelry, etc.

I recently came back to it to find everything gone! all my jewelry and armor and lots of other things had been replaced by the default stuff (like when you first buy the house). the only things that had made it where the 2 chests and one end table that had the stuff I put in them. the only mods I have that affects breezehome is the breezehome basemant which I got a while ago which hasn't ever affected my stuff

So does anyone know what to do? I had a nice collection of jewelry and enchanted armor and I don't want to lose them

thx

Yes they are absolutely safe, but with 1 caveat. Things tend to re-spawn again when those are inside your house. But every once in a while you might find them all scattered or on the floor.

So you do risk a chance that an item might end up clipping under the floor so you can't find it anymore.

Also, the risk is higher for losing small things like gems and rings.

To be safe (and make things easier to locate), I would put the books onto a book shelf and try to sort the rest of your stuff into various containers.

You should install all unofficial patches as well, because they fixing various things. (Maybe that kind of problems too...)

It's not the containers that respawn, it's the objects that are in the cell, like the fruit or lamps or other clutter. The game will put them back where they were stock, and this scatters or replaces your other "clutter". There is a way to "lock" things in place by dropping it on the floor, doing something else, do another thing, then move the item to where you want it.

Me, I just put stuff in containers and never display it.
