all of tamriel in one game?

so, I absolutely love all of the games, and I always though, what if someday we can combine all of the games and increase the graphics and gameplay so that it has the same gameplay and graphics as the most recently developed Elder scrolls game, but you can travel to every one of the countries. I know its alot to ask, and it probably, wont happen, but its a pretty cool thought.

Well, there's a mod for Oblivion that adds Morrowind, and I remember seeing a project mod to add Cyrodiil to Morrowind. I'm sure that type of pattern will continue on in Skyrim and in future TES games, so long as a Construction Set/Creation Kit exists for the PC.

As far as an actual game released with all of Tamriel, I can't imagine that ever happening again. It's just too much stuff and it would take way too long to make.

Time has nothing to do with it. With graphics and all the new content Beth would add to the game (I just lost The Game), there would be at least 2 or 3 discs to fit all of Tamriel into one game. Plus, the processing power needed for something like that would make your Xbox/PS3/PC melt. :brokencomputer:

Personally I'd rather they focus on making continents the size they should be again - ie. Daggerfall. Morrowind, Cyrodiil and Skyrim have been dwarfed enough for their respective games... I don't want to see the whole of Tamriel shrunk even further just to squeeze it all into one game.

Even if technology allowed that somewhere in the distant future, Bethesda would not use today's graphics. They'd use whatever looked the most impressive and that applied to a massive landscape would most likely be too much for whatever system it's on to handle. Besides that, think about how long it would take to develop and how many people would have to be hired in order to write and create content like quests to be evenly distributed throughout every area of Tamriel. Even if Bethesda racked in as much money as CoD does, it would still not be enough to pay off all the employees dedicating a decade (or more) of their life to a videogame. Not to mention the Elder Scrolls will be long gone as well as you and everyone you know by the time people come anywhere close to achieving this outlandish goal. It's basically impossible. Sorry.

Pfft...the way they're going anyway, it might take two discs tops- they'd just scale it so the entirety of Tamriel was a world map half again the size of Cyrodiil as used in Oblivion.

I think I'm quite happy with "one territory per game" given past and current tendencies.

Arena isn't that more or less all of cyrodill (yeah I know only parts of it), but netherless ... if it is all of Cyrodill I guess it would be like a modern version of Arena .... Or just not open Roleplaying games like the Old Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Games ... 'You have walked 24 hours' , and the like ...

I assume Beth did leave that path from Daggerfall on ...

Given the choice between a whole Tamriel of a certain size, which would have a certain limit to how fleshed out the provinces were, and one province of the same size, 1/9th the scale and 9 times as fleshed out, I'd choose the latter.

I was daydreaming this earlier today... I thought of the prophecy and the plot... it went like this

The last prophecy of the Elder Scrolls
When Tamriel will finally fall
To the hands of the denizens of Akaviri
Only one will stand against their fury
A man, once known as Wulf
Will be reborn to make a stand
And reunite all of Tamriel
Against the warriors from another land
