^ Oh well thanks anyways.

More armors would be awesome.

I never played Morrowind what armors were in that game that are missing here and were they really strong types or weak stuff [that I don't really care to use anyways]?

  • Steel
  • Dwarven
  • Elven
  • Orcish
  • Scaled
  • Plate
  • Glass
  • Daedric
  • Ebony
  • Dragon

Of course we can assume that's in order from weakest to strongest.

At least two of those placements would conflict with TES precedents and lore. Dwarven should be between Elven and Orcish, and Daedric should come after Ebony as it is "the refined form of Ebony."

I'm not sure Scaled and Plate are all about, but Plate is a type of armor, not a material.

Well I guess it depends on whether Ragamuffin wants to continue this or not.

Or just let it go. You don't need to wait until he responds, just ignore him. Don't feed the trolls.

I don't know if this is all armors.
They said they have a greater varity of armors but there is less here than in Morrowind.

Yes and there are only 10 there. I was lead to believe there were 13 different ores to craft armour from and ebony for example isn't even an ore it's a wood

This svcks. Even less armour types.
Can someone tweet Hines asking him to confirm every single armour type or something? This is the only thing I care about at this stage. I'm losing my faith here people, fast.

Well I didn't realize until I just saw the post that this is all going to fit on a single 360 disc. I imagine that is why we are losing so much stuff. Gotta cut a lot out to fit it on a single disc.

Thanks to Nerd Trek and their http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1225741-new-nerd-trek-qa-released/, we not only know all the smithing perks, but consequently all the main armor variants as well! Behold:

  • Steel
  • Dwarven
  • Elven
  • Orcish
  • Scaled
  • Plate
  • Glass
  • Daedric
  • Ebony
  • Dragon

Of course we can assume that's in order from weakest to strongest. Don't forget we have armors such as Hide as well. This makes me so excited! :celebration:

Old info plus you missed Iron, Hide and Leather.

13 types for Skyrim, Oblivion had 12.

No visual armor customization with practically one-piece suits of armor?

I'm quite sure this is not all the armor we will have. We have seen lots of different armors, some of them that seemed to be done of the same material but with either completely different looks or similar but somehow superior (like the iron armor of the orc that has spaulders).

I'm sure someone has pointed this out, but technically this just shows all the armor types related to smithing, which we can assume are just metal/heavy armors.

There are almost certainly light armors (hide, leather, etc.), as well as non-standard and unique armor types.

And robes, although I suppose they aren't technically classed as armour.

I think that we have been told that the Smithing skills includes some leatherworking. Though I'm not sure about that.

In TES lore, ebony is a metal ore.
