All the Armor Types

Post » Mon Aug 29, 2011 9:07 pm

Thanks to Nerd Trek and their http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1225741-new-nerd-trek-qa-released/, we not only know all the smithing perks, but consequently all the main armor variants as well! Behold:

  • Steel
  • Dwarven
  • Elven
  • Orcish
  • Scaled
  • Plate
  • Glass
  • Daedric
  • Ebony
  • Dragon

Of course we can assume that's in order from weakest to strongest. Don't forget we have armors such as Hide as well. This makes me so excited! :celebration:

I don't really think scaled or plate belongs on that list. Wouldn't that be in a list of plate, chainmail, scale, etc. And you forgot leather.

We knew those for a long time from the skill desciptions in the skill menu, though.

Those trained to use Heavy Armor make more effective use of Iron, Steel, Dwarven, Orcish, Ebony, and Daedric armors.

Those trained to use Light Armor make more effective use of Hide, Leather, Elven, and Glas armors.

I'm just quoting Nerd Trek's Q&A. I didn't forget anything.

I hope there's mage robes. Or just robes in general. But better looking than Oblivion's robes, because those vanilla mage robes were pretty shabby looking.

Then you thread title is wrong. And your list is inconsistent.

Say what now? Well damn, this is the biggest disppointment so far. I don't even no what to say right now. Guess I should have finished the Q&A first...

Well.. that's definitely the same armor chest plate/greaves/belt and gloves in both pictures.
Those straps and pauldrons are definitely added to the second picture somehow.

That leaves three options
Armor is upgradeable and does slightly change appearance
Pauldrons are separate entities entirely and they've just kept them secret.
That's an entirely different set of armor that looks exactly the same except for the pauldrons.

Sorry. ._.

Well atleast they mentioned "scales", "plate", and "dragon" as official sets. That's new, right?

God, I had so hoped it wasn't the last one but it appears to be that way since visibly upgradable armor and pauldrons are out.

Not crying kid. I'm sorry if English is your second language, just trying to help you out since you have such a half-@#$ed list.

I'm gonna check the Q&A really fast, and see about reading some articles. if my suspicions are correct, then you should all read that interview slightly more carefully

Isn't imperial supposed to be in there somewhere? Or is imperial just for weapons?

Of course we can assume that's in order from weakest to strongest.

Why would Ebony be stronger than Daedric? It's never been in any of the other games. Also, I would like to point out that Daedric Armor and Weapons is made from Ebony, with a Daedra bound to the object.
