All things Crysis, MP comments and campaign perfection!

Post » Sun Mar 01, 2009 8:03 pm

This game has a near perfect single player campaign, probably one of my favorites of all time, but the MP has some polish/lag issues. Otherwise this wuld probably be the new game trend. Most exhilarating campaign I have ever experienced (with the acception of maybe Halo Reach because I'm a fanboy lol) but I have never felt something so new and fresh yet so familiar. LOVE it. Just needs some multiplayer fixes and I believe it will be on the verge of a perfect game for me at least.

Campaign: 9/10
Multiplayer: 7/10
All the extras for a +1

Haters keep saying this isn't worthy of the original Crysis. I say this game kicks its computer-destroying benchmarking ass.

The only thing I see that needs fixing as far as MP is concerned is the hit detection, which may be due to lag, and also the score limit on Crash Site is too low, it needs to be 200 or 250.

I agree...pc guys should chill a bit. It may not be as open ended as the first game but um what....it's still better than 90% of the games out there right now and definitely without dispute still looks better an every single one (except maybe the first Crysis) and and even if it doesn't look as good as the first like they say the animations are definitely more smooth and natural and it still kicks ass. So they should just chill man lol.

MP for us gamers is just as important as campaign, it is the game mode that keeps us interested after campaign is completed which will take an enthusiast around 1-2 weeks to complete.

It seems that every game which is released now regardless has MP issues, I wish that developers spend at least a month or two extra ironing out FUNDAMENTAL issues on line such as spawning, match making, hit detection and lag by testing all variables in a home environment.

I'm not really happy that the lean by cover has been removed also, why do developers listen to little kids aggghh!

Why aren't more people intelligent like you? Lol. I agree 100%. Except I like campaign a little more than MP. It gives the game it's personality I think.

I'm glad to see threads like this. I mentioned in a post in the Stickied 'Issues' thread how sad it is that such a great game has forums full of what's wrong with the game.

There's a lot that's right about Crysis 2! I too thought the Single Player campaign is great. So many shooters are all flash, but no substance and last, at max, 6 hours... Crysis 2's core gameplay encourages the player to do his or her own thing, not move from one conveniently placed piece of cover to the next.

Also I don't think I have enjoyed a powerful suit like the Nanosuit since the HEV Mk.IV Hazardous Environment suit.

I really, really hope this sells well. It angers me a little that the underwhelming 'Homefront' has sold a million copies... I have been telling everyone who hasn't enjoyed the game the same thing, "Trade in Homefront, buy Crysis 2!"

Bulletstorm and KillZone 3 launched on the same day I think, also not to long ago. So there's a lot competition for FPS' at the moment. And I don't think the majority of casual console players even heard of Crysis 1... But I guess we can only do what we can. Spread the word!

This is great! Some intelligent ppl in here. I love this. Everyone is so negative, but It really is a good game and like u said the fact that homefromt has sold a million is very said since this is probably no where near there at the moment. I feel like this is a AAA title, that just needs a little push.
