All of your game saves....

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:20 pm

Except for one

If by some horrible event all of your game saves were deleted/corrupted and no longer playable and you were able to save only one, which one would that be?

No there are no miracles, you didn't have the others backed up (or those were deleted too) on any other storage device etc. etc. So it will be only one game save that you can keep.

I'm not sure what game I'd save. It would probably be a toss up between FFXIII, FFIX, and F:NV.

At the moment I don't really have any important save games. I'd gladly replay through them all.

The one important one I had was Tekken 5. I had everything unlocked, and had reached the rank of Tekken Lord with all the male characters. It got corrupted...

Black Ops, I could just replay everything else in do time but getting to 7th prestige again would be a pain in the ass.

This did happen once, the only one salvaged was my LBP save.

Do I still keep my achievements? Took me a long time to get all those. If so, then I would keep my current Dead Rising 2 playthrough save, I do not feel like starting at level 1 again and I'm really starting to enjoy the game now that I'm like level 22 and know what I'm doing.

I have this game too. Do you mean you had every item purchased in the game, b/c that must have taken a really long time. The Dark Resurrection version for PSP is supposed to be better.

My Morrowind save. I don't know how many hours were put into the game but I do know that I had no life for the 2 years I played religiously. Probably close to 2000 hours.

Meh. I generally delete RPG saves as soon as I've done everything I feel like doing with a character, so I don't really care on that front; my Xbox 360 achievements would still be there.

If I could save one, I'd prolly save Halo: Reach, just so I don't lose my armor and creds.

Yeah I purchased everything. I had all my characters customized the exact way I wanted them.

Dark Resurrection is an enhanced version, but there's no point playing fighting games on a PSP. I like to play on screen with a controller and a human opponent.

It would probably be my Oblivion character from my first playthrough.

I've already lost all my saves countless times, either from dead consoles, corrupted memory cards or fresh installs of Windows (forgetting to back 'em up). With that in mind I really don't have any that I'm too worried about anymore. If I could go back and hold onto one then I'd probably pick my Valkyria Chronicles save. I still had a bunch of missions left to do outside of the main story.

I'd just restart and blow through it since I know the strategies well, but my backlog isn't fond of that idea.

If Final Fantasy XIII had a New Game+ feature, then it'd definitely be that, but noooo. :meh:

For me, it would have to be my Football Manager save :)

My http://shopeu.ageod.com/game-description-American_Civil_War-659234.html PBEM game. Though restarting know that I know how to play the game would probably be a benefit.

I got nothing I couldn't replay, or wouldn't enjoy replaying, expect if my WoW account somehow got erased.

Agreed, I enjoyed progressing through my games and i'd gladly do it again. There is one exception and it is Forza Motorsport 3. Theres no way you can make me play 100+ races over again

The only game that I really make sure I really back up the save file is my GTA4 save game. 40 hours into this game and some of it was really annoying so I dont want to do it over. But that has happened to me before, I formatted before backing up My Documents (which the majority of my game saves go too). Now I keep My Documents on my H drive.

Man, that would svck... I dunno, probably either:

1. Halo: Reach- for the armor and credits; this isn't saying that I don't love playing through that game ([censored] I love playing through that game), it is just that I would be driven insane watching the credits bar move so slowly up each time...

or

2. Ninja Gaiden: Black- for Mission Mode; I haven't played this in years, but I plan to once I get a new copy (my 360 annihilated my original about a year after I got it, for no reason), and I know for a fact that there is no way in hell I would want to play through the missions I had done on Master Ninja again- those were and absolute nightmare.

My current Baldur's Gate 2 file. Though there would be many tragic losses in this hypothetical, there aren't many that hold up to this 250+ hour epic. Even if I was only halfway through this game, that's a lot of play time lost.

I've had this happend to me on so many levels both Pc and Consules. I think the worse one was Wizards & Warriors for the PC. It's an old RPG (dateing back to the Windows 95 era) it can play on modern pc but not very well. It works best with Windows 7 since you can set the compatible mode to run in 95, however you're also going to need to patch it cause the people at Activision desighted to skip Testing day---anyway...my problem with the game is that it seems to be ticking time bomb for failure. Once you get it to play it's just a matter of time before my pc desides it dosen't want to play it anymore ( I mind you I have patches and everything set so this game WILL play). So now my pc won't read the disk anymore all my hard work I put into the game is now gone. Due to so many problems I have with this game I desighted to retire it forever and just keep it for collective pourpus.

...10-15 years ago I might have been able to pick something, like all my Diablo1 & 2 saves with the endless mules of "precious items" the I spent hundreds of hours collecting. But right now...nah. I've got nothing. I might be peeved for an hour over the loss but I quit WoW after the WotLK beta and don't play enough other games these days to care too much - I'd just replay.
