I think about the balance among races in Tamriel. And at this stage it's probably polished since the NDA is lifted,

and not many days left until the official launch of ESO in April 2014.

Personally, I'll decide an alliance, which is less popular for a greater challenge and fun.

Same here. Im joining the less populated Alliance. They could use a dedicated Blacksmith. And cook.

I belive it works like in WoW. Everyone whos commited to pvp at some time wishes to win fast.

So the most people will decide to go to the Alliance with the most people in it.

From this meager poll to judge... it will not be Daggerfall Races.

Honestly, I thought it was more related to questing and PvE in the desert area,

'cause recently I've heard complaints about (quest distances.)

So it might be an advantage to start with the Imperial edition, and save the gold for gear/resources -

instead of a horse.

Tbh..I don;t have a favorite race in the TES world, although I would normally avoid the high elves.

I mainly base my choices on the fact that I normally play as a stealthy archer, so race that suits that will be the race I choose. It just so happens to be a Woodelf (Bosmer) in Tes/Eso.

But still...not necessarily my favourite race.

Why is there no 'NO' option for Imperial at the end instead of maybe? Makes the entire poll inconsistent. Anyway the two races I will probably play with first are Argonian and Breton. Might check out the others if I get bored along the way.

The races and factions are troubling in TESO. While I have my favorite races in Ebonheart Pack I have already seen most of their lands in other TES and so I have desire to play in different faction.

Imperial is not an own political faction like in Skyrim at the moment, that's my reasoning - since an Imperial can join any alliance in-game.

The problem in wow was that you had many servers. Most prefer servers where their faction is in the 55-70% benefit, so it would become more and more uneven

Add tiny areas for endgame grind who is pretty impossible if you have 10-20% in your faction making players move out

ESO don't have this problem because of megaserver yes you get unbalance but not because of servers
Most polls are very even anyway PvP / pve difference between races is probably larger

My favorite race is in DC, but I'll be play AD because of my wife's veto power. Normally I'd be a Daggerfall player both for race choices, lore, and the population balance.

'nods, I played TES single player game Daggerfall - so it'll be amazing to visit that place in ESO.

I have decided I will not play an Imperial and i have ordered the Imperial edition, so your poll is inaccurate. Also asking your favourite race to determine what alliance people will join is severely flawed now that all pre-orders may play any race in any alliance.

I will likely be a Breton in the Daggerfall Covenant or possibly and Imperial in it. The Ebonhart Pact seems cool but not that cool and the Aldmeri Dominion is just crap so no.

It looks that while most races are equally popular , few are not so lucky

As a general rule - beast races are less popular in every Alliance

So -in Ebonheart most are going to play as Dunmers (Morrowind fans) and Nords (Skyrim fans)

In Aldmeri Dominion - its more or less equall (but i think this is a result of synergy of Khajit racial skills with Nightbalde class)

But finaly -we have a Daggerfall Convenant. And guess what?

Most are going to play as Bretons (or Imperials)

Why?

Well - orcs are ugly, and redguards are umm, you know...

I voted yes on all of them. I like to push buttons.

@Jroc, Imperials are great warriors - at least consider it if you want to try out a Templar, or a Dragonknight class.
