Alpha fighting

We've had a number of threads at different times on alpha but there was one I can't find anymore to do with setting the correct flags to prevent alpha fitting in overlapping meshes

I'm working on this http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/9966/fleurw.jpg and tried it out in the CS just before - however I noticed that the gloves keep disappearing as I rotate around the model, depending on the angle the boots will vanish under the dress as well - I can't remember what flag settings to use to prevent this

Can someone post a how to layer alpha's description please

Many thanks

Illy

The correct term here is "alpha sorting". The engine decides which texture goes on top and sorts them as such, hence the name. This sort of problem is actually a problem with the engine itself I have heard but there is still a way to get around it. I dont know off thetop of my head.

It's the flag 4845 to put for the NiAlphaProperty's nodes ;)
It prevents overlapping ^^

http://forum.wiwiland.net/index.php?/topic/49905-tenue-proche-du-corps-avec-transparence/, there is a lot of good information, but it's in French sorry.
I can eventually translate it for you later?

Thanks papill6n - I seem to recall there was a number to set for Alpha Test Threshold - does anyone use this feature?
