Ok, already preordered...

I preordered the game as soon as I watched the E3 FO4 presentation by Todd Howard (he's a genius!). The game is very promising, even beyond expectations.

Everything is awesome, even if someone could argue the graphics are not the ultrawesome top available nowadays. So many cool features I hadn't even imagined are present, with weapon modifications or even a total weapon rebuild; We will even be able to build our personalized home from the scraps we find during our explorations. The defense systems, the now fully customizable powerarmor, and so on. And last but not least the incredible environment and atmosphere, the variety of places and situations is really surprising. Even the combat system is more dinamic, fluid, I'd say even agile!

BUT! XD

Yes, there is a little but: it looks like the player is not going to have his personal ride: motorcicle, brahmin, car, flying machine or whatever. Or at least it hasn't been shown at the presentation. Yes, there is some sort of flying transport, but it is not clear if we will be able to control it.

A ride system could be added in the future through dlcs, but I think it is really weird there is no vehicle already! In Skyrim we had horses, not very fast but really useful, and they helped with the immersion in the game. Is it really possible that in a world with androids, robots, helicopters, powerarmor with jump boosters there is no place for some sort of ridable vehicle, even a crappy one?

If saluaging scraps from old harleys to make my own motorcycle would be part of this game, I'd buy it just for that.

I am going to go to my EB store and see if I can pre order Fallout 4 with caps. :P

Yes this will be a Day One purchase. Hell it can be a midnight buy if my EB is open that late/early.

From a video I watched it looks as if you can select where you want to land in the vertibird, or jump out. Also, destructible environments, like buildings and stuff. Looks awesome!

I don't usually pre-order things, but I did for this to get the Pip-Boy Edition.

I preordered that edition too, Ihope I'm going to receive it. Gamestop sometimes screw their customers creating excuses for shortage of certain collector items.

When I ordered the steelbook edition of Dark souls 2 they deleted my order because they had problems (inexistent, false) with my cc.

But returning to my (only mine?) little concern towards the lack of rides, I'd like to ask if some mods or devs could cast some light on this.

Meh, I'll get Mad Max for my post apocalyptic car funs, keep them out of Fallout I say. It did look like there is a Vertibird quick travel method available in-game, but it doesn't need cars.

I'm not as big of a Fallout fan as I am an ES fan, so I was going to wait for GOTY to come out, and get it all in one package...

Was being a key word, as I'm picking it up in store on day one now, lol. There's just too much STUFF!!! GAH! WHY BETHESDA? WHY MUST YOU EAT MY WALLET!?

I seriously thought FO4 was going to be just like the past FO games, not a huge leap like this. This is truly amazing, and makes me even more excited for the next ES game, as it better have all these features too :P (building settlements, trading in them, that kinda thing)
