Altering All Routes Of Nature

I've been watching this one develop, but I've stayed mostly silent. Story is good, keep going with it. Don't worry about what others think of your creativeness, its your story, run with it. (Sorry Wasteland, I can't stifle a young mind, even if it can be off the wall sometimes).

The rewritten Prologue reads much better than the original. Most of my other quirks have already been mentioned, so no long dissertation from me (And yes, I am addicted to Spell Check, so my own dictionary went out the window years ago).

hmmm, I wander what MOSTLY silent means, posting a reply, and the delete it after 1 minute? ;)

Thanks TZRock, I will continue on my own path, but it's always good to hear feedback.
Wasteland Scholar does have a point, but on the other hand: the enclave already has energy shields, so it isn't that far off.
It's good to discuss these things. Keeps me thinking on and thinking outside of the box :)

I'll post a new chapter as soon as I can find the time to write something stunning. I want the new chapter to be grand.

New chapter! It's short, I know, but I like it as it is.

Chapter four: Making friends

Although the fight between Aaron and the Brotherhood initiates didn’t take longer than a few minutes, it seemed forever.
The initiates gave everything they got, but were defeated quite easily nonetheless.
Prod and Tron did most of the damage, creating a perfect duo.
As Prod shot his final laser perfectly placed on the tip of the helmet, the body of the initiate degraded to a pile of smoking ash.
The Recon armor of the second initiate caught flame as Hammer sprayed his flamethrower upon him.

“Don’t you ever do that again!” Aaron shouted towards Hammer who was hovering above the deceased brothers.
He couldn’t think straight anymore. They just killed members of the Brotherhood.
If they know we killed their brethren… If they know, we’d be dead.
Aaron walked to the robots. “We have to get out here, before…”
“…before someone sees you?” said a voice from behind.

Aaron turned around, looking at a woman in a mercenary outfit and large black glasses resting on her nose.
Her pitch-black hair matched the glasses perfectly.
As she walked towards the group from behind the rocks, Aaron whispered to Hammer.
“Don’t kill her just yet, Mr. Trigger-happy.”
The woman stopped right in front of Aaron scanning him with her eyes from top to toe.
He was feeling a bit awkward, as she was almost a head taller and standing way too close to him.

“Nice going with those Brotherhood idiots.” She said in a most soothing way. “I had them on my tail for days now.”
Aaron wanted to respond, but she didn’t give him the opportunity.
“You obviously hate them as much as I do, sticking their filthy noses in business that doesn’t belong to them.”
“But I don’t… We didn’t…” Aaron stuttered, completely thrown back.
“So,” She continued. “what was it exactly, that those scum wanted to know?”

Before Aaron could answer, Hammer was already floating besides the two.
“Treasure!” He shouted joyfully. “We’re on a mission to find his fathers secrets!”
Aaron’s eyes widened as he looked at Hammer. “Hammer, why the hell did you tell her that!?”
“She asked.”
A grin appeared on the woman’s face.

She walked towards the corpse of the Brotherhood Paladin and grabbed the Laser Rifle lying next to the body.
“You can kill her now.” Aaron whispered at Hammer as she walked back to them holding the gun in one hand and a few dozen caps in the other.
“No.” Hammer answered.
Aaron eyes widened once more. “Why not!?”
“I like her.”

The woman poured the caps in Aaron’s hands. “The rest of the loot is yours, but the gun’s mine.”
Aaron looked at the caps, not knowing what to do with them.
“Why do you want his gun?” He asked curiously.
“Because it’s actually mine.” She answered. “He was the one who took it from me.”

“Can I loot the bodies?” Hammer suddenly interrupted.
Aaron’s sight was still fixed on the caps. He felt like he had just lost all control of the situation.
“Ehh, sure.”
Hammer rushed towards the body and started a thorough search for any items.

Aaron’s look glazed from the caps to the woman’s feet as it seemed she didn’t wear any shoes.
He thought it was better not to ask, but she’d already seen him glaring.
“I like to feel the ground beneath me. That and it’s much better if you don’t want to make a sound.”
“I didn’t even ask!” Aaron protested.
She looked at him and smiled. “Also, my name’s Sharona and I’ll be joining you.”

Aaron got confused even more.
“Wait… Joining us? You can’t just do that!”
Sharona laughed and shook her hand trough his hair. “Come on, It’ll be fun!”
Somehow, Aaron felt he didn’t have anything to say about it.

Hmm...A shady woman, and a childish robot that doesn't listen to you. Good company for a sheltered child who is nervous around woman, and who's only friends have been robots. She isn't going to make things complicated at all. ;)

Trust me. It's going to be utter chaos, with a twist on the side.

Chapter 5: Encounters

Getting his revenge was all Aaron tried to focus on.
If it wasn't for that, He'd gone home in a heartbeat.
Sharona and Hammer could get along very well, talking to each other non-stop for the past hours.
Aaron merely walked at the back, accompanied by Prod and Tron.

They were walking trough the dead wasteland for almost a day now.
Aaron thought about Tao's mercenaries for a while now, as he didn't know much about them.
After long consideration, he decided to ask Sharona about the mercs.
"If I know them?" she replied loud. "I used to be in war with them!"

Aaron startled a bit, he didn't expect this reaction.
"Can you tell me something about them?" he asked. "They're the ones who killed my parents."
"Sure." Sharona replied. "They're the scum of the earth."

"They are originally a band of mercenaries under the control of Tao, A very wealthy man from across the sea.
They say that he collects all kinds of things, although I don't know why.
His band of mercenaries gets everything he wants, without any sympathy.
I've come across them only once, but it wasn't pretty."

"We are one more day away from our destination." Tron suddenly interrupted.
Without noticing, the group stumbled upon a large grey concrete building.
The windows were all shut close and barricaded with wooden panels.
The only opening was an entrance without doors.
Above it, the word 'MRM' was painted largely in graffiti.

"Let's find someplace else to spend the night." Aaron said. "This place gives me the creeps."
Sharona agreed and they turned around to locate a different shelter.
But before they even took one step, a loud Growl came from inside the building.
As they turned their faces, A Yao Guai came running out of the building.

Aaron froze as the creature trampled right towards him.
The attempt to grab his gun before the beast got to him failed.
His hands were too sweaty and the gun looked like it was holstered too well.
The Yao Guai could jump up on him any moment now, placing his claws deep in Aaron's shoulders.

But instead, the beast sprinted past Aaron, missing him by inches.
Almost a hundred Mole Rats came pouring out of the building, followed by an old man in cloaks.
"Get him my ratties! Get him!" He shouted.
The Mole Rats paid as much attention on the group as the Yao Guai and sprinted past them, hunting the creature.

Even Sharona looked around her, perplexed.
The Yao Guai turned around to make his last stand, but it did not last.
At least twenty Mole Rats jumped on the beast and bit trough the skin with their large sharp teeth.
It was only a matter of seconds before the Yao Guai gave up and fell dead on the ground.

The Mole Rats dragged their prize, slowly but organized, back inside the grey building.
As they faded away into the darkness, the old man came walking up to the group and eyed them for a second.
"Come on in." He said and he walked back inside the building.
Sharona followed the man's invite and walked into the building without any doubt on her mind.

"Well, that's that." Aaron said. "This is our chance of getting rid of her, let's go."
But Hammer didn't listen and followed Sharona's lead.
Even Prod and Tron went on in behind Hammer, leaving Aaron outside.
Why do I keep getting into these situations? Aaron asked himself as he joined the rest into the building.

I like it, so far. But call it an SMG, not a Submachine. It just annoys me.

Okey, please kill this topic. I don't like where it's going.
I want to start a new fanfic. One which I am satisfied.

Sorry, I try to finish fanfics normally. But this one's really gone the wrong way.
