alternative controller for PS3 to use with C2

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 5:25 pm

It is fairly simple, I have two controllers, an old one with good reactivity that is totally worn off, and a new one that I bought 3 months ago that is total crap when playing C2, just because the buttons seem to be less responsive, an sometimes get stuck. Both are original PS3 controllers, but I feel as if there must be a better controller out there ...

Having a better controller can really make a difference I think, especially when it comes to fast paced button mashing. With the new controller I almost always lose my matches, with the old one I almost always win, so yes, there is a noticeable difference. The quality of the controller makes a huge difference.

Now I was wondering if there are any good controllers for PS3 that are better than the original controllers for gameplay?
Advice and experiences would be nice.

Can't really help too much but 1st ps3 controller broke from this game. Then bought a Power A controller and it broke in the 1st week(wouldn't recharge) got it replaced and a month in if 1/2 broke haha still usable but when clicking r3 it won't stay running. So went back to the Sony controller and it's holding up alright. Sometimes when aiming someone down I occasionally melee when I'm only trying to aim. Other then that I can't help. Other then not recommending the Power A remote.

Haha, it's just that I ruined 3 playstation controllers on this game already, not that I throw them at my walls or something, but they just don't last that long when used ... so intensely ...

I hear you. I am constantly sprinting so that's why I have trouble with the r3 button a lot.

Meh, I keep meleeing while I try to shoot but my controller is **** up anyways.
I think the main black ps3 controller has pretty responsive controls. Better than the other colors, I got a silver one and it feels really.. Hard. Like, the buttons and joysticks need to be broken in somehow..

That's funny, My silver one is also the one that is giving me problems, with buttons that get stuck and so on ...
Can't be the color right? That's just the casing ...

My good old trusted black controller however, as good as it is, is starting to leak some kind of greasy fluid out of the L3 button, my previous controller (that came originally with the console) had the same problem, on both L3 and R3 buttons...
I heard more people are experiencing this issue with the dual shock 3 controller when they get older.

Seems to be only when it is upside down..?
It could be battery acid.. Which is very, very bad.

I never place then upside down, I am pretty caring for my stuff, I don't throw things on a pile.
Yet after one day of rest, the L3 button gets greasy again, as if the substance can climb up the button, very sci-fi that stuff ...

I start to think that the battery is the main cause for this, a pretty big failure for Sony I would say, the controller has no fluids in it normally ...

In the meanwhile I acquired a new controller, a white Dual Shock 3 this time, i passed the first tests haha

The damn controllers are all so expensive. Mine had a mishap and the joystick may be a little messed up, such as accidentally meleeing in the middle of shooting someone.. Ugh. I need to get a new one but how am I to find a cheaper priced controller?
