Personally, I think you don't HAVE to use fast travel if you don't want to.
My point is proven.
Why can you not merely see that this isn't an option for us? Regardless of whether or not you understand it, some of us want to find an alternative to make everyone happy, instead of mashing together two systems that don't belong together.
Personally, I don't understand the issues with Morrowind's system. But, regardless, I will try to take the opinions of others into account when I try to come up with some kind of comprimise.
Can we not have ONE thread without the mindless "DONT LIEK IT DONT UZE IT!!!!1!!!" comments? Do we really need to go over this time and time again until you realise there is another option: Do what the thread is about. AN ALTERNATIVE.
For example, I shall now actually do what the op is asking. Suggest.
- Horse Travel. Allow a system just like Oblivion/Fallout, that is only allowed when on horseback (or any other kind of mount)
- Teleportation. Plentiful supplies in potions and scrolls in towns. Spell form, too.
- Fast Travel only on roads.
- Fast Travel disabled with any kind of hardcoe mode. Of course, this depends on the kind of hardcoe. If a simple togglable mode, it would be fine, but if it uses various options (as I would hope), it wouldn't properly work.
Of course, this all is coupled with carriages.
Now, instead of the mindless flaming, could you possibly read the post and tell me what you think of my suggestions? Tell me how they could be improved? Tell me how to tweak it.
