If the mods gave you a chance to change your username what would you change it too?

For me:
Clear-Water-Flood Productions

Or

GeckIX Productions

So what about you...?

I don't think I would change mine here, but I do go by jagrattlehead on other forums. Also use my first name on one forum.

Paradox me. Like wingus there isn't any real meaning to the name, but it's what I've been using everywhere else for a few years now.

Ok, that's enough. From now on we officially refer to her as "Majka plo?a". At least someone is going to go by that name around here.

Majka plo?a is Croatian

not many people outside of Croatia speak the language, so it was logical to assume that you were from Croatia.

Well duh :P (although that's not technically quite true), but my question was how did you figure this:
Majka plo?a is Croatian
out? Google translate autodetect? If that's the case then please note that the translation doesn't quite capture the colourful humour of the phrase. (And also that the given pronunciation svcks balls.)

I immediately realized that it was some south slavic language so I googled it and most of the links I saw had a Croatian domain.

EDIT: If you are wondering how I knew that is was a south slavic language: It's because of the ?, it's a letter exclusive to slavic languages.

I knew it wasn't Russian since I understand basic Russian, and it didn't feel like Polish (There are a lot of Polish people in Iceland, so I've been studying the language) so the only thing that remained was the south slavic group of languages.

Don't talk that way about Majka plo?a. She's quite sensitive.

I wonder if she knows that in the US her name means a kind of cheap and foul tasting blue liquor that is the No. 1 drink among rap artists.

If you're generally interested in languages then perhaps you'll be interested in my poor attempt at explaining the humour of the phrase.

Boring linguistics stuff follows.

Spoiler
"Majka plo?a" is a literal translation of the English "motherboard". However, the point of the joke is that the word "majka" is only used for "the female parent", "the woman who gave birth to/raised someone" - i.e., it is a word used only for a person, never in the sense in which the word "mother" is used in "motherboard". So in a way "majka plo?a" means "a female parent (who is a) board". I know, it's not funny. These things tend to be difficult to explain properly.

Anyway, the proper word for "motherboard" in (Serbo-)Croatian is "mati?na plo?a", as seen http://bs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mati%C4%8Dna_plo%C4%8Da (and speaking of which, http://bs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardver is a brilliant word).
