No, you need to take it off to shower, sleep, and pee

False. Power armor recycles your pee as a hydration source, and may be configured to inject the wearer with stimulants to keep him active and mobile.

The Brotherhood of steel guys wear it all the time pretty sure it should not be an issue. Also as with every problem the game might have. *Mods will fix it* :)

Lore wise it makes more sense that power armor is treated more like a vehicle instead of just normal armor. That being said, I'm pretty sure power armor is run on nuclear power, correct me if I'm wrong, so technically a person should be able to wear it all day. The outcasts armor is still running and that stuff looks beat to hell and back.

Nope, one of my rituals is every play through Boone and I put on Enclave Power Armor, our berets and Authority shades......tool up with BARs then head for Fortification Hill and Emancipate the Latina slave girls by massacring every Legion member from Caesar on down. Left next to every body is a Sunset Sarsaparilla Deputy Badge so everyone will know who did it. Then I take a picture of Eddie and his henchmen so Sheldon finds it when he develops the film for his quest.

Never know, maybe later in game we'll be able to modify our power armor so we can wear it almost all the time... though it looks like you go way slower in power armor than you do without it. So exploring with power armor would be tedious at best.

This. Everything we have been shown about power armor suggests that rather than being treated as conventional armor, it's implementation is much closer to that of a vehicle. As you quite correctly state here, exploration in power armor would almost certainly be tedious, and so would not be very practical. But due to the scenes in the footage showing us onboard veribirds, insertion and extraction both to and from missions would make this 'vehicle' a good deal more accessible for combat use.

You know, every time I read your posts I do it in in Liam Neeson's. I just realized having his voice in a game would be awesome.

Anyway, on the topic at had: I'm ok with PA not being a permanent thing if they made it so powerful I can laugh maniacally while being nearly impervious to damage and mowing down groups of raiders.

I'm sure there will be a perk, or replacement power core that allows you to use the power armor without recharging it at some point. Power armor is a late game armor, and in Fallout 4 players will be getting it towards the beginning - earlier than they have in any previous Fallout title, so Bethesda had to limit the player's ability to use it early on somehow.

The clips that present the protagonist running in third person with power armor shows them running only slightly slower than they do without it, and that's with their weapon drawn which has drastically lowered the protagonist's running speed since Fallout 3. We haven't seen the protagonist run in power armor without a weapon drawn, so we have no idea if it actually slows them down or not.

I sure as jaffah cakes HOPE NOT, it was bad enough we could use PA all the time in F3.

I actually hope theirs more limits than just the energy core requirement, hate god mode.

Jeez. I keep forgetting about that Vertibird, and the whole settlement thing meaning you can have a faction of your own backing you up. Having that Vertibird drop off my customized X-01 suit when the going gets tough and then haul it back to Sanctuary Hills after it runs dry makes the whole idea a lot better.

I doubt it can even fit through a lot of doors. Have no idea how it'll work when you try to enter a loading area though.. if it'll just auto unequip or if you won't be able to even interact with the door.. or if you'll get a popup message that says.. "please step out of your vehicle."

Speak for yourself. I would love to wander the wasteland in power armor, even if it is at walking speed.

I see it being limited to outdoor spaces it. it's big so you'll have to clear rooms on foot which is another reason why it should be infinite use eventually with of course damage repair and such.

Doors are small, and I am large, yes. Fortunately, I watch HGTV before war, take mental notes. Now I have eight-foot tall wrecking machine. Soon, doors be large too.

This is my thinking...

In previous games, you saw BOS wearing these sort of lesser armors that, to me, looked like what you would wear under the Power Armor. I forget the name. I think the original idea was you wear Power Armor in the BOS while on duty and performing your tasks and missions, and them took it off when off duty etc.

Plus I don't think I'd want to wear it all the time, forever and always. So many clothing options, it would be a waste.

Floors mean nothing when I have jet pack. Point of power armor is to terrify; that's why it have scary face. Soon I make buildings afraid too.

I did forget about the jet pack..

Also He- Who- remains post made me think sorta of off topic but not quite.........

How horrible would it be to share Power Armor not sure if this is still around but used to be you had to share a bed maybe with 2 other fellas in different shifts mostly Navy and way back every damn sub did it call it Hot bunking or racking you get done with yer shift and get to go wake a fella up for his shift, then get in his place and try to sleep in his sweat and "whatever" heh. I am just saying cause back when I was trying to peel those Mid west fella's outa there metal cases. It was down right suicide probably why we lost. Only luck we ever had was the soft ones and the ones in combat armor, few of the ghouls brought stuff that could poke through that. See they were short of the good stuff and I expect they were taken turns cause the same suits would turn up right before we broke no matter the time day or night or we mighta had a chance. Had to be sharing it, just had to.

(Jimmy if you eat pork and beans one more time afore you suit up I will shoot you dead. Also the water recycle bit shakes head NOOO just no)

It's not really a jet pack though. More like a jump boost. You can't go flying around on it indefinitely

Agreed

Though I would want them to go back to it being a real Armor again - It was never supposed to be a damned vehicle (can't even enter houses with that as large as it is -.-)

greetings LAX

Probably The Power armor is limited as wearing it all the time makes you too powerful. Its like having infinite mini gun ammunition. You need a a fuel source to power it as i was watching this video and it saw him putting something into it. It can also be customize so it does not need to be one big powerful iron man. And you can have power armor that you can run around with like in the other fall out games.

I went though the microsoft footage, it really doesnt look that much taller only slightly. Its alot wider but i mean it can still fit through doors.

You can use the power armor while wearing regular armor, so if you do need to leave the power armor you won't be too vulnerable.
