Ok i just got a 360 controller for pc everything is sweet except i have no idea how to always run. What is the control on the x360?

No, you keep pushing the stick forward. Letting go causes your character to stop.

hmm.. your not understanding the question, ill try to put it in simple words so you can try to get your head around it. You know how you push Q when playing the game to move forward instead of holding down W? what is the 360s equivalent to that? (sorry for the big words, hope you can understand it all)
