[wip] Amanita

SGMonkey, I wanna know everything about how you made your game look this beautiful
There are so many different shaders and texture packs out there, and they all cater to different tastes, and I'm never quite happy with what I got. And now I see your screenshots, and I'm speechless. I want exactly this look for my game!

Apart from that: Looks really amazing. I love the underground Telvanni stuff, and the city on the hill. What I read of your storyline sounds cool as well, and it might finally give me a motivation to play the game with a race other than Dunmer/Bosmer/Breton/Imperial.
Too bad you removed the videos, I would have loved to see things in motion.

To tell you the truth mate, I dont use that much visually enhanching jazz. Especially in my working folder for amanita. I have a folder i play the game with, which has everything setup with tonnes of stuff, grass, trees, texture replacers, all sorts of stuff made by this great community.

But in my Amanita folder i simply use the latest version of MGE and MCP. I run the game at a native res of 1920x1200, and the only shaders i use are MGE's new built in water shader (always used the stand alone one too), sunshaft, and SSAO. And im using shader model 3. When setting up MGE's distant land i set world texture res to 4096, and normal to 1024, i set world mesh to high, and then minimum static size of 50, including all activators and misc stuff, dont skip and mipmap levels and mesh detail on full, and i set the draw distance to 30 when playing, and anything upto 100 when recording videos and taking screenshots.

Probably not doing myself a favour setting everything this high. Could more than likely optimise the settings more without too much being noticeably different.

As for amanita, its currently undergoing quite a rethink. And i probably wont be updating this page for a while, its all gonna be on paper :P And i'd like to concentrate more on Skyrim for the time being. Plus making landmass for people for fun :)

Keep your eyes peeled
